I’m a little late , but I was surprised to see this news about Sasha Baron Cohen dropped out from playing Freddie Mercury in Mercury’s biopic movie. But after almost 3 years from when it was decided Sasha Baron Cohen will act the part of Freddie Mercury,  I wonder why they got disagreement suddenly ? How much did they talk about the screenplay of the movie and about how Sasha Baron Cohen will act as Mercury ? I thought the movie was almost done and ready to show the premier this year. The news said that what led to Sasha Baron Cohen ’s departure was  “ creative differences “ It said that he wanted an R rated film, but the surviving members of Queen wanted more of a PG film that would attract a wider audience, and a more reverential depiction of Mercury and the band, rather than the direction the movie was taking with Sasha Baron Cohen.
