My review - Biopic Queen Movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" about Freddie Mercury

We went to see the movie " Bohemian Rhapsody " about the rock band Queen on November 3rd ! We were both really excited to see it since we watched many previews of the movie because the previews looked great.   and we booked the seats a few days ago. It's country side of USA here, so there were not many people in the theater on a Saturday afternoon, 2pm.  so we were feeling comfortable to watch it in not so busy place.                                Freddie Mercury in early 1970s Our review My husband and I are big fans of Queen and we really wanted to love this movie after seeing the previews and seeing all the actors' interviews about it.  It was really interesting to know how they were preparing to make the movie. We could see the actors all really worked hard to make this movie.   Pro - *  The actress Lucy Boynton who played Mary who was Freddie Mercury's girldfriend, her acting was great.   *  Rami Malek put in a lot of effort to try

Queen's Movie - Bohemian Rhapsody Trailer has been released !

Wow, Wow, Wow !  Finally !!  finally !!        The biopic movie about the British rock band Queen and their lead singer Freddie Mercury will be coming on November 4 !!!  ( in UK, it's October!)  We are sooooooo excited !!!                                            Freddie Mercury                                            Honestly, my husband and I almost gave up that they would ever make it because we felt like it's been forever since we first heard the news that they were working on a film about the band around 10 years ago.  It sounded really hard to make this movie, changing the casts and directors many times,  and also Brian May ( Queen guitarist ) and Roger Taylor ( Queen drummer ) looked very busy with their world concert tours with Adam Lambert.  and when we heard the main actor was chosen to play Freddie Mercury about several months ago, and we saw some photos of him in the news, we felt like the actor does not look like Freddie, s

Charm of Kenichi Hagiwara - Shoken

From Japanese Movie " Ame no Amsterdam (Rain in Amsterdam)" I've been into the late 1960s to 1970s generation since several years ago. I don't know why but I'm very interested in older generation's people, trends, lifestyle, scenery, habit, TV drama, music, films, etc..   and not so interested in new things much.  There are many new discoveries through checking out old stuff while reading and watching it, which I didn't know before. and about several months ago, I happened to find a youtube video of  a famous Japanese actor called Kenichi Hagiwara who was my favorite actor in 1970s when I was a kid. His nickname is Shoken and he is also a singer of Rock/blues music.                      Shoken( 18 years old) singing ”Legend of Emerald” Shoken was one of the super stars in Japan mainly from the late 60s generation to early 80s. When he was 15 years old,   he joined an amateur music group band called The Tempters as a vocalist.   A

Cozy Happy Birthday

Friday, November 6 was my husband's birthday, so I made a cake and Tempura! We were having cozy happy birthday party at home, just relaxing , eating, chatting, drinking, listening to our favorite music, dancing and watching a new movie. Last year was chocolate cake, so this year I made whipped cream spicy taste with strawberry decoration cake. I'm really not good at making decorations, but fortunately the taste was successful, heavenly yummy!!! Ray said he loves this one as much as the chocolate cake, and it became one of his favorite cakes now.  We both love chocolate taste sweets , especially Ray was eating many chocolate bars every day until he got health problem.   Ray had kidney problems last June this year, and since then he has been avoiding the foods which have high Oxalate content, such as chocolate, cocoa, dry powder, peanut butter, Bran flakes, crackers, soybeans, tofu, spinach, and black pepper.  Because a doctor told him that eating these high ox
