2015- 2016 Figure skating competitions, My review - Skate America

This season (2015 - 2016 ) 's figure skating competition is already starting !  and I've watched Japan Open, Nebelhorn Trophy, Finlandia Trophy , Autumn classic and Skate America so far. Honestly, this season, I was not so excited for figure skating competition like before, because two of my favorite skaters who are Tatsuki Machida ( from Japan ) and Samantha Cesario ( from USA )had retired last season. Although it was great to hear and see Mao Asada was back to competition and did a wonderful performance in Japan open competition. For Skate America , there is Jason Brown who is my top favorite eligible skater there so I was very looking forward to seeing his new programs. Also, as usual, looking forward to seeing the commentary of Johnny Weir, Tara Lipinski and Terry Gannon !                                                           From Johnny Weir's instagram I really love seeing all three together 's commentary because they always make me a

My review- 2015 Kentucky Derby and Johnny Weir

We were watching this year's Kentucky Derby last weekend on May 2 !   It was so much fun to watch last year's event, including the hat contest, and mainly we wanted to see Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski in it.  But not only that, the horse racing was very exciting to watch !  It's said that television coverage of the Kentucky Derby scored the highest overnight rating ( 35.0 rating ) for Saturday's win by American Pharoah since Pat Day rode Lil E. Tee to victory 23 years ago, in 1992 !  This year's Saturday evening was higher rating than last year.  Here are my favorites in this event.  My favorites  1. American Pharoah, with the Jockey Victor Espinoza won !  American Pharoah wins 141st Kentucky Derby      Honestly , I was not predicting Jockey Victor Espinoza to win this race again because he was not attending this race with his precious horse California Chrome and I was not sure about his new horse.   Just from my inspiration afte

My favorites - GPS Figure skating 2014 - 2015 season Men & Ladies so far

2014 Grand Prix series figure skating competitions have started since October 23 , and we have watched Skate America and Skate Canada and Cup of China on NBC channel. It was so nice to see Johnny & Tara & Terry as the commentators in Skate America and Skate Canada. We really enjoyed and were laughing a lot in some of their comments. Johnny has already impact, even just sitting there, and also is entertaining and knowledgeable, and Tara is catching the rhythm of Johnny's talking well. I think they are really match together with commentating and also Terry is a wonderful veteran commentator. I really love seeing this commentator combination. That's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to seeing ISU competition on NBC. I was a little disappointed they didn't show them at the end at Skate Canada , and they were not commentating for Cup of China's event on November 9. Terry and Tracy did professional great job for Cup of China, although, I al

Figure skating 2014 - 2015 season

2014 - 2015 Figure skating season is already coming up ! Since this year's Sochi Olympics , several top skaters are not competing this season for a variety of reasons. We both miss Daisuke Takahashi 's skating in competitions. also it's something strange feeling Mao Asada is not in the competition this season, who had been always competing in seniors almost for 10 years. Also Brian Joubert .  He had been continuing to compete for a long time. I always love to watch veterans skating.  My favorite times are still from 2006 ( it's the year I started watching men's skating )  to 2008.  but I enjoyed to watch 2004 to 2005 seasons as well.  In any case, there is a fresh feeling  in the air this season's skating competition world. This season, my husband and I are looking forward to seeing the programs and performances of Jason Brown, Alexander Johnson, Samantha Cesario,  Polina Edmonds, Eelena Radionova, Katelyn Osmond , Kanako Murakami, Haruka Imai,

Being famous and happiness

When I was a teenager, I imagined that becoming famous from one's career =  success = happiness.   Like getting appearances on TV,  your posters are everywhere, top idol star, musician, actor/actress, model, comedian, sports player, etc.. everything which belongs with entertainment. There was a time I thought it looked cool to be famous from career success, getting spotlight, but I was only seeing it from one side. Then I started hearing many rumors about celebrities, the behind the scenes, people gossiping about how this or that celebrity could get that successful position, etc.. I've heard that to be successful in that world, you will need to do something you don't want to which is not related to your work. and learned that there are some people who can - with no problem - do anything to get to the position they want, by thinking like it's a business. But I found I'm not the person who can do something I don't want to by ignoring my inn
