My Review - Improv-Ice show, Dec ' 2011

Best Improv-Ice ' 2011 http://www.dissonskating.com/2011/12/improv-ice-voting/ This Pandora’s ice show was held in December ‘2011 and was showing in NBC on January’ 2012. Guest music group was Styx ! I wanted to write a review for it because this show was awesome and we re-watched our recording of it several times recently when we have time. but December to February are the most busy time for my work, and could not make a time to write about it until now. We are usually not so crazy to see ice shows with a musician’s live performance, because so far, maybe because of their choice of the music, we were always more into skaters and skating. But this was exception, Styx was fantastic and we really enjoyed it from beginning to the end ! Ray also loved one of past guest music groups “ Foreigner “ which was also from Pandora’s ice show. Honestly, even though I knew Styx is a famous music group, I had never seen them, and didn’t know what kind of people. But...

Mystery of Chopin’s love

After watching the movie “ Desire for Love “ about Chopin several times, I started searching more about Chopin’s life to solve some mystery parts, even though it may be impossible to find what is the real truth.  This movie ( Desire for Love ) is so thinkable, and while checking about both Chopin and George Sand ‘s bio, I’m also into George Sand and her life story.  I would never have known about her or cared about her if I didn’t get into Chopin’s bio so much. But without knowing about her, we can not know the truth.   Chopin & Liszt are the most interesting heroes for me right now .  I don’t know why, but if genius is the only reason I’m into them, then there are many different kinds of geniuses in many different subjects , so it must not be the only the reason.  It’s very curious , there are several speculations about Chopin’s love, some information tells like as if it’s the fact that for Chopin, George Sand was always his love of his life, w...

My Review - Movie - “ Desire for Love " about Chopin

We have been curious to see the movie “ Desire for Love“ about Chopin and finally we watched it last weekend. This story is about the relationship between Frederic Chopin and George Sand and her children. The title “ Desire for love “ exactly fits with the story. This is not a full bio about Chopin’s life and his music, ( although the soundtrack is absolutely awesome, with masterful performances of Chopin’s music by top pianists ), but mainly focuses on Chopin’s life after he met George Sand and their relationship. But Ray and I both actually really enjoyed it and watched it three times already. It’s impossible to show all the details of Chopin’s life, and even his relationship with George Sand within 2 hours. For casting, we both thought all the casts they used for this movie was good with great acting, except for Franz Liszt. And this is my only Con for this movie is that the actor they used to play Franz Liszt did not fit him at all. IMO, his image doesn’t fit with...
