Okay, I watched men’s 400 m last night after seeing the result.
It was heartbreaking to see Jeremy’s disappointed reaction...
I thought he didn’t look like the same runner as in the past, he looked much slower than before in it.
I couldn’t believe it..
What was wrong with him ?
Just a month ago in Paris, he had crossed the finish line first, in an easy win over his chief rival LaShawn Merrit. But in the Olympics, seems like Jeremy brought his C game, not his A game.
He said he did everything he could, and nothing left and was exhausted at the end. LaShawn beat him almost full second. Jeremy was with two other competitors . Usually he was far from any other competitors.
I wonder Jeremy might not sleep well and might not eat much the day before the final ?
It may be energy influence . Or psychological issue ?
Michael Johnson also looked nervous before started. Seems like he has emotional connection with Jeremy, so when Jeremy lost, he looked panic and was asking what’s Jeremy’s time.
After Jeremy was beaten by Lashawn twice this year, Jeremy also beat Lashawn twice,..
As I wrote earlier, in Paris , a month ago, he looked more on and he beat Lashawn easily.
But in this Olympics, he looked off.
I’m so confused why it’s so different depending on the situation.
The track looked wet, and wind was 0.9 that’s also influence runners ?
The bronze medallist David was hilarious.. I thought other competitor was faster and at the end David was diving to the goal and placed in third.
Olympics Silver medal is not a failure for many athletes, but for Jeremy, it must be hurt.
Next Olympics, he will be 28, he still have chance to get gold and break the world record.
Funny thing is Jeremy Wariner and Johnny Weir have same initials, JW, and they were born in same year 1984.
I have passion for those two athletes. Johnny is like a black hole, can not escape from being passionate about him. so I watch all his competitions , and read everything related to him.
For Jeremy, since last Olympics, I found he is interesting but I haven’t seen him much, but in this Olympics, I’m very interested.
There are so many athletes out there and even though I enjoy the moment with many athletes, Only a few athletes are memorable and I got big impact.
I will watch those two athletes Johnny Weir and Jeremy Wariner.
Seeing Olympians is good to get fire and motivation for myself. However, watching someone else ’s action, and their life may be good to learn things and find a key of success but I also prefer to spend a time for myself and focus on my life than others.
Olympics is over,
Who was the most memorable other than Jeremy ?
Even though I enjoyed Nastia Liukin and some other gymnasts performances in this Olympics, … my favorite gymnasts are still 1972 - 1980.
I realized that I don’t feel I want to watch Nastia’s performances over and over like I had for Olga Korbut, Yelena Davydova , Nelli Kim, and Nadia Comaneci. I never get bored with them
I watched 1976 gymnastics tapes until the tapes gets old. I don’t know the reason why ?
