Seems like Stephane Lambiel is going to have a press conference for his new announcement “ crucial change” in Switzerland on Thursday and people are worrying he may retire or take a season off .
And According to GPS lists in Skate Canada and TEB, He has been crossed off for both of the events SC and TEB.
It means that it’s surely he is not going to compete in GPS this season.
I won’t miss Jeffrey Buttle’s skating much, but Lambiel is my second favorite skater who often gave me fun with his unique creative artistic speedy skating, so surely I will miss his skating.
It also hurts to watch him being placed in lower place with his disappointed face, struggling with his injury though...
His injury sounded bad and even though his mind wants to compete, his body doesn’t want to.
When we got injury or felt pain or had illness, I’ve read that it’s a sign to take a break. And is doing something wrong, unbalancing and it also may come from stress.
Hopefully Johnny is fine.
My ideal podium is always
1. Johnny
2. Stephane
3. Daisuke (since Sandhu was away from skating competitions)
But now … without Lambiel,
It's going to be ..
1. Johnny
2. Daisuke
3. Joubert
I have a good impression for Joubert as a person since seeing his sweetness to his fans even though he is often having troubles because of his outspokenness.
Also I liked his FP at last worlds.
In Skate Canada, I will just enjoy Patrik Chan’s performance. I feel it will be already Lysacek’s victory in that event.
I like Patrick’s skating, he is not a dancer and his artistry needs to learn some more to improve, but I think his skating skill is great, and has big impact.
I’m not sure he can do two 3A in his FP, but I like to watch his 3A.
Also something fun to watch, I didn’t feel bored like I often felt with Buttle’s performances.
Lambiel sounds very busy for many things this year, Coach changing, moved to US, attending many international shows, back to Switzerland for his injury treatment, and back to US for training, and again back to Switzerland ??
As a Johnny fan, and hoping him to be on the top of podium every COP, it’s good in that way.
Because it means that Johnny can get full attention from Galina and Petrenko during competitions same as last season if Lambiel‘s not going to compete this full season ?
So I have complicated feeling for this.
