My review - Be Good Johnny Weir Episode#5

This episode was a little stressful in some parts but the part where his super agent Tara Morin and Johnny were at his apartment cracked us up.

It started from before he leaves for his first GPS competition Rostelecom Cup ( Russia ) for this season.

His agent Tara and Johnny were enjoying doing fashion show with his furs in his apartment.

They look super close friends seeing the scene where both of them lying down. Lol Johnny also looked comfortable to be with her.

We found Tara is very hilarious and a happy person, my husband Ray thought Tara is also his big fan and loves him very much even though she is his agent.

I like Tara’s fashion taste. She’s pretty, but I think If she loses about 20lb she would be even more pretty and makes her look better with her fashion.

It was also funny that Johnny didn’t tell Galina about the ice show “stars , Stripes and skates “ which was held in Danbury, CT before going to Rostelecom Cup, and about he is going to show his new Short program then, and Johnny was getting panic when Galina found out and she was on the way to the ice show.

Tara was also getting panic and started crying when things didn’t go well and became too much stress during the show but she was so funny, she wanted to cry but didn’t want to ruin her make-up so she was holding her face up to avoid her tears to ruin her make-up.

And people around her who were trying to cheer her up also started laughing. Lol

The scene Johnny was copying Galina’s talking “ you can only show new short program but not free program “ made us laugh, too.

In the show, I remember he made some jump mistakes in it. It was brand new program so it didn’t look ready at that time.

But didn’t know there was such a behind the scene. Galina was upset at him for how he performed it and after that, in the training, just after Johnny got a flu shot, Galina looked frustrated and being hysteric to him, her anger might be coming from Johnny didn’t tell about him doing his new short program in the show and could not skate perfectly.

Petrenko was supportive for Johnny and trying to tell Galina, why it have to be today, he just got flu shot.

But Galina brought up her former student Oksana Baiul as comparison, she had injury but she kept training, Johnny was just got flu shot, it nothing compared with Oksana’s case.

Petrenko kept telling her, Oksana is not Johnny.

That scene I thought Galina was being mean to him from her frustration.
Hiding something doesn’t make anyone feel good, but it came from her too much control freak to him and was making him fear to tell about it.

Johnny said Galina becomes mean to him when she gets nervous.

In the scene, when Johnny showed Galina his new free program costume with his designer Stephanie, I was actually glad Galina didn’t approve the costume.

Because I think the newest one looked the best for the color coordination and the design. Johnny looked really stressed out for it.

I wonder that why he doesn’t tell and show Galina for the design when he designed it before he goes to his designer or make the decision including Galina before the designer start making it ??

So that he doesn’t need to waste his money for it.

But maybe there is a reason for it.

In this reality show, Johnny looked stressed out from Galina’s too much control freak but in the recent interview on TV, he said he loves strong woman, and sounded like he needs Galina type of person as his coach.

So maybe the reality shows is showing his frustration which he sometimes feels.
Nina was saying that Johnny is like Galina’s baby, so she surely loves him.

In Rostelecom cup, I also felt his skating looked really weird for jumps.

Looked like even Johnny had no idea what happened, just his minds were somewhere else during the performance. While his artistry was great though.

In the K&C, Galina’s face looked a bit of frustrated but she was padding his head, which looked different from her feeling. It was kind of funny.

But the behind the scene, Johnny said Galina was upset at him by telling him why he skated like that”.

It’s her hometown, besides her reputation, so I understand her feeling but… he also didn’t want to skate like that in front of his fans besides for himself and Galina.

Next series is for NHK competition and sounds very funny.

Sweet Food which does not get fat - Warabi mochi

I recently love eating this sweet food that Japanese call " Warabi mochi " which is made of 0 calories food psyllium in my coffee break time. It's sweet food but I use Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener instead of sugar when I make it. Lakanto Monk Fruit sweetener is 0 calorie s and 0 glycemic and very similar taste as normal sugar. It is said it's derived from monk fruit, which looks like a small green gourd native to regions of China and Thailand. It's not artificial so it is not bad for health so I feel comfortable eating it. Warabi mochi is a food which is normally made of Kinako ( soybean flour) & sugar & warabi powder and it's one of my favorite foods.
