Stars On Ice ( SOI ) has never been inviting Johnny Weir who is the three time US Nationals Champion, 2008 World bronze medallist, two time Grand Prix Final bronze medallist, also Johnny is the most popular skater who can attract many fans in the world from his unique creative beautiful skating every time he perform.
In his twitter , he has followers over 48,000, Facebook over 33,000.
They could make a lot of money if they would include Johnny Weir.
Here is the article about Johnny responds to Stars On Ice Tour.

During 2008, there was a poll for “ which skater do you want to see the most as a guest in SOI ?” and Johnny Weir won by far from any other skaters in the poll.
However seems like their decision in that season was already decided to invite Evan Lysacek and Tanith & Ben before they started the poll.
SOI tour has not been selling the ticket well, with many empty seats, so some tour locations have closed due to lack of ticket sells.
Even having this kind of situation, they still have never invited Johnny Weir.
And after this Olympics, his agent Tara Modlin asked his head angel about the petition.
Johnny : “It is for real,” he told Billy. “I’ve never been invited to do ‘Star on Ice’ before, which is the only figure skating tour in the U.S., and it’s disappointing that I can’t perform for my American fans… all because I’m not ‘family friendly’ enough.”
“I totally understand that I am a little outrageous in some ways… I’m a little un-P.C., but I really wish I had the chance to perform for the American fans,”
My impression from Johnny’s quotes, he wants to perform in the USA for his American fans. That’s the desire, and Tara is helping him to get work where he can perform in the USA.
Since Champions on ice had gone 3 years ago, Stars on ice is the only ice show tour in the USA even though their sales doesn’t sound going well until last season, I’ve heard that they pay good money to skaters.
So Tara is trying to get SOI’s approval for Johnny ?
I joined the petition, but now I ‘m confused that Johnny really wants to work with SOI now ?
Because their treats to him sounds ridiculous.

If I was him I would think that a company who rejects me is not good
company for me and would forget about it. even though they are the only place which have ice show tour in the USA.
If he can find good sponsors who can help to make his own ice show tour, that’s the best.
Johnny: “Maybe right now, just artistically and creatively, I’d love to have my own show and my own tour and involve some big musical acts, like maybe getting Lady Gaga” he said, explaining that if he found sponsors he would create an all-inclusive event. “Nobody would be too un-family friendly for my show.”
I really hope it will come true.
I love to see figure skating, but I have never thought to go to see live ice show until I discovered Johnny Weir in Torino Olympics 2006.
Johnny’s skating inspired me and my husband a lot. So we bought tickets for Champions on ice , Phoenix and also in 2007, San Jose show to see Johnny Weir’s skating mainly.
Without Johnny Weir, we would never think to go.
We enjoyed Champions on ice show a lot with the line-ups at that time, Johnny Weir, Sasha Cohen, Irina Slutsukaya, Shizuka Arakawa, Evgeny Plushenko, Stephane Lambiel, Rudy Galindo etc...
Rudy and Johnny did throw jump then, it was impressive.
Johnny performed “My Way” which is one of my favorite of his numbers, my mind was too excited to see his live performance which was our first time.
Soon after he appeared at opening , we could see his charisma, very star quality and had big impact on ice.
Evan Lysacek at that time was not so boring like now, so we also liked his
performance then.
Michelle Kwan was not so inspired for us unlike many American figure skating fans because nothing specially unique and outstanding.
Slutsukaya was creative with great musicality. Sasha Cohen’s skating was beautiful, plus she was stunning, has star quality looking, similar to Johnny Weir.
We were also impressed with Shizuka Arakawa 's beautiful graceful skating.
Totmyanina/Marinin was inspiring ,too.
They were perfectly artistic every movements and lyrical. Tanith & Ben during 2006, I thought Ben is a great dancer.
But the most impressive performance for us may be trio “ Fallen Angels “ with Johnny Weir, Melissa Gregory , Denis Petukov. In San Jose show in 2007.
For ice dancers, I usually love Russian ice dancers such as Navka Kostomorov, Grushina / Goncharov, Denkova/ Staviski (from Bulgaria), Khokolova/Novitski ( present ) , so we have never paid attention to Mellisa / Denis until they performed together with Johnny.
That trio performance “ Fallen Angels” was breathtakingly beautiful. Very creative and music was awesome, there was also drama and power plus beauty.
I hope Johnny will perform with them again if he started doing his own show.
Inviting celebrities in the show must be a great idea, too, especially Lady Ga Ga and with Johnny entertaining creative performance.
But whoever he invited , I would definitely go.
Johnny: “I don’t like to look at boundaries as far as sexuality is concerned. I don’t like to look at things based on a person’s sexuality,” he continued. “Anytime you get men in glitter it’s flamboyant occasion!”
It’s sad but seems like so many people look at things based on a person’s sexuality in the USA. I love glitter and flamboyant. I love beauty and art and uniqueness.
If smuckers think flamboyant is offensive, it’s their issue which they are brainwashed from their own belief. People are limiting for many things like things have to be this way, or that way.
One of the people I respect is a man called Hitori Saito who is one of the most successful ( and wealthy ) business person in Japan said that the company which rejects is never good company for you.
Success is going your way when you go to it, you feel fun.
When you get stuck for directions, he said good to ask yourself “Which is more fun for me ? ” ( instead of which do I feel obliged to do ?)
You get strong passion when you go in direction to things you feel fun. And your strong passion make you to be unstoppable doing it.
Love & passion = success.
I hope Johnny will have big success whatever he does, whatever he wants to.
I think it’s always happiness is the key of success.
All the best to Johnny Weir.
To Stars on ice,
My husband and I would buy tickets if Johnny Weir is in your ice show tour.
Petition for “ We would like to know if perhaps Johnny has not been invited on the Stars on Ice Tour because the sponsors deem him to be "not family friendly." We would like to have an explanation of why this popular Olympian is not on the tour.
