Johnny at All that skate show

All that skate show which was held on October 2 ,3 in LA was on TV (NBC) on Sunday morning.( October 10)

This show looked very high quality seeing all the settings around the ice rink and the hall and the cast members.

NBC showed from the opening group number.

I looked for Johnny ( always) , he was wearing blue pants and his eye make-up with black eye shadow, looked like he was wearing black sunglasses seeing from far away.

I got excited when I found Johnny in the opening number !
Ray laughed whenever I was calling his name with excitement.

It’s a Yu Na Kim & Michelle Kwan’s ice show which was sponsored by Korean companies , and they mainly showed these two skaters.

The cast was :

Tanith & Ben
Patrick Chan
Yu Na Kim
Michelle Kwan
Stephane Lambiel
Aliona & Robin
Yu na & Michelle’s pair
Shen & Zhao

Johnny Weir
Michelle Kwan
Tessa & Scott
Yu Na Kim

It was from 11:30 AM to 1:00PM I hour and half .

There were also group number in the middle of the show ( on TV) and the finale was with Korean singer.

Johnny got hip injury during the practice before the show, but he fought with the pain and skated great and received huge standing ovation with loud screams.

He skated two numbers Heart broken and Poker face and they showed only his Poker face.

Except for Michelle Kwan and Yu Na Kim ,they only showed one performance for each skater.Felt bad for Ashley Wagner, they didn’t show her performance except for group numbers. Honestly I wanted to see Ashley’s number instead of one of Michelle or Yu na’s performances.

Before the commercials, they were showing Michelle & Yu Na for previews for the next segment , and I was glad they also showed Johnny before his turn came up.
Johnny was wearing new Poker face costume.

From the beginning for his movements, I could see he had injury, because there was something wrong with his body movements like careful from his pain for his hips and can not move naturally. Because of the pain, Some of his movements looked casual.

I know he can skate much better than this performance if he didn’t have injury.

But still it was very entertaining with sense of humor and it made me and Ray laugh in some parts.

His movements are unique.

He was funny.

We repeated to watch it several times after recording it, skipping all the other skaters.

It's just my soul loves Johnny, even though it was not his best condition. but we enjoyed with it.

They introduced Johnny as “ a fashion designer, an author and has his own reality show, an original in every sense of the word. “

My top favorite of his Poker face performances is still his Festa On Ice show 2009. And I also loved his movements in his first Poker face Vman’s which was still work in process.

Also Cup of Russia ( Rostelecom cup‘s EX) in 2009 , he was angry to himself at that time for his competition performances, and his movements and expression looked sharp, and was even more powerful, it was beautifully sharp.

I really love it. I actually often loved his performances when he got angry because his performance got more power and energy from it.

GPF’s EX at 2009 was great ,too. It’s always slightly different every time he performed, depending on his feeling, I guess.

So I never bored watching his Poker face and many of his other programs. There are always something attractive part in his skating no matter the situations which some people may not be able to see.

That‘s why I have addiction for his skating.

They didn’t show his Heart broken number, but I watched it on you tube.

Johnny's Heart broken

I really loved this performance. Yu na and some other skaters had back ground scenery or video image while they were performing. It was nice.

I saw illusion of his world from his expression, pantomimes , movements with his deep emotion.

He is an artist who can create his own world with his performance and makes me see his imaginative world. I saw these illusions several times from his performances .

One of them is his performance “ You made me impressed “ by Korean singer. It was so imaginative and romantic but sad ending. ( in my own view)

Johnny’s eyes make-up looked heavy in his heart broken but I didn’t care for it while watching it.

I also loved his ballet style up-right spin. Look at his arms and hands and fingers, the way how he uses his body.

So sensitive, and beautiful and artistic. I care for each pose as well. Because all the movements comes from every well-balanced pose.

His backward sliding move, if we compared with his move a few years ago, the height of the back between his leg is getting lower.

I have tried to make this pose on the floor several times, but it’s incredibly hard.

I still can not make it.

I have seen Stephane Lambiel and Yu Na Kim tried this pose. But they looked hard to make it at all.

Kelly’s comment in her twitter,

“ At the staple centre watching @JohnnyGWeir in all that skate oh my god he is amazing I'm utterly speechless I can't stop screaming!!!! “

Brad Goreski also sounded very excited to see his Poker face,

“Johnny just killed it with his Poker face”

It was also nice to see the photo, which Johnny’s happy smiling face with a gorgeous roses gift from Johnny’s Korean fans “ Hyenaz”.

http://twitpic.com/2tprz7 at Johnny’s twit pic.

He has been receiving these bunch of flowers gift from his fans every ice show.

Japanese fans, Chinese fans, they also gave gorgeous roses when he was skating in Japan and China.

In Japan, I saw each men’s skater’s received flower gifts in a photo during Fantasy on ice show in Fukui, and I know there are many Japanese Johnny fans who are multiple skaters fans, looked like some fans are thinking about not only their favorite skaters but also preparing other skater’s gift as well.

Maybe their policy to make all the skaters feel good when they visited to perform in Japan.

Seeing this ice show on TV, I realized things changed since when first time went to ice show, in 2006.

It was held in Phoenix ( COI ) , and at that time most of audience cheered only for Michelle Kwan, then Sasha Cohen.

And the rest of the skaters didn’t get much screams. Especially men’s skaters and foreigner skaters whether they skated good or bad.

When I talked with people who were sitting next to us, they only knew Michelle Kwan, Sasha Cohen, and also Olympics Champion Evgeny Plushenko.

But I didn’t see any sign for skaters in arena, even Michelle Kwan and Sasha Cohen. We brought a sign for Johnny.

And also seems like there are some other Johnny fans were also showing his signs far from our seats.

People around me and my husband were curious to see our sign and was asking who are you supporting ? And they didn’t know who Johnny is. And many people were looking at our sign like we are doing something unusual. It was Phoenix COI.

I remember I really wished to see an ice show with Johnny the most popular skater in the future.

But in San Jose COI in 2007, audience reaction to each skater was much better. I suppose depending on the location in the USA, it’s so different.

Johnny was answering the question for where is your favorite place to perform in the USA ? And he answered he loves to perform in the east coast area where there are many of his friends are there to support at that time.

And now Johnny’ s popularity increased hugely especially after Vancouver Olympics.

Even though Michelle Kwan has been getting huge appealed from audiences, I’m not sure she has loyal fans like Johnny has.

What I saw in San Jose COI in 2007, fans who were waiting at the skaters bus area were all Johnny Weir fans after the show finished.

There were 7 people there at the gate of the skater’s bus area. We were not supposed to be there, we went there for just wanted to give our gift for Johnny in the security office because one of the guards told us the direction. But it was skater’s bus parking area.

I remember that In Russian TV also commentated in Rosterecom Cup, as Johnny has the most loyal passionate fans and was showing his Russian fans support for him in arena.

That’s one of the reasons I feel Johnny’s popularity is amazing.

When Johnny had to cancel for one of his ice shows in Russia a few years ago, a Russian lady told me, teen age Johnny fans burned the ticket crying in front of the gate of the show after hearing Johnny had to cancel for it right before the date of the show because of US federation rule.

What makes people act like that ?

The tickets for the show was really expensive according to her ( the Russian lady) because of the location and the cast and it seems it was a special ice show.

But the teenage girls who bought the expensive tickets after working hard, burned the tickets because they couldn't see Johnny. His charm is killer ? Amazing.
I really enjoy seeing the audience reaction from his performances and his populatity.

Thank you to people who invited Johnny in this awesome ice show !
I hope he will achieve his dream to have his own ice show in the future.

Johnny’s back award sliding pose in heart broken is incredible.
He used his head on the ice at the end and expressing with his arms and hands.
I wonder doesn’t he get cold with his head on the ice while doing it ?

In the arena, his friend Kelly Osborne and Brad Goreski
were there to see his performances.

Nowadays, it's hard to find places where there is beautiful clean air. and in this unfavorable environment, he is suggesting how to live healthy.   Health tips 1.  Clear Oxygen  According to Bashar,  the air after storms and typhoons have gone away, is the most clean ( purified ) and is good for our bodies. However when there is an overdose of artificial oxygen by using tools such as oxygen tanks , this can cause a lack of water, and will weaken cells. ...

Sweet Food which does not get fat - Warabi mochi

I recently love eating this sweet food that Japanese call " Warabi mochi " which is made of 0 calories food psyllium in my coffee break time.   It's sweet food but I use Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener instead of sugar when I make it. Lakanto Monk Fruit sweetener is 0 calorie s and 0 glycemic and very similar taste as normal sugar. It is said it's derived from monk fruit, which looks like a small green gourd native to regions of China and Thailand.  It's not artificial so it is not bad for health so I feel comfortable eating it. Warabi mochi is a food which is normally made of Kinako ( soybean flour) & sugar & warabi powder and it's one of my favorite foods. However it's high calorie foods so if I eat a lot, it's easy to gain weight.   Because Warabi mochi flour is Starch and has sugar in it and is high calorie.  So I was not eating it. and then recently I found the recipe of diet Warabi Mochi which is made of Psyllium...

Beauty skin care, Ninon de L'Enclos ‘s Secret of her young skin

Besides extra virgin olive oil, I’ve been doing a mixture of another great natural formula since two weeks ago. This information came from Ray who happened to find about Ninon de L’Enclos ’s amazing story concerning her youthful skin. According to the article, Ninon de L’ Enclos is known as a famous French beauty from the late 1600s. She kept her youthful skin until 85 years old when she passed away. Even in to her 80’s she was attracting many young men who fell hopelessly in love with her. She never published her secret of her youthful skin until the end , only telling her special friends about her secret formula. There is no photo of her, but seeing her painting in other websites, she looks in her 30’s when she was 85. According to the article, her face was as smooth and free of winkles in her 80’S as it had been at 20. She hated wrinkles and successfully kept her skin youthful , using her special secret formula. This information blew me away, and immediately ...

Franz Liszt’s dangerous love

Franz Liszt was quite tall in his generation, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall , long blonde hair , piercing sharp eyes, pianist' long narrow and delicate hands and fingers. His body build was very slender. People who knew him described his personality as full of charm, charisma, and very knowledgeable.  And he loved brainy women. He was the consummate artist. It seems that Liszt loved dangerous love , which thrilled him and gave him excitement rather than a stable, peaceful , safe love. Franz Liszt While reading about his biography, I was wondering why he fell in love with two princesses who were already married. Marie D’Agoult He seems to have had a lot of love affairs in his life, someone found out that he had at least 26 serious relationships in his life ( besides countless other affairs ) but the only ladies he thought about marriage was with these two princesses , Marie D’Agoult and Carolyne Sayn Wittgenstein ? Charlotte Von Hagn ...

Franz Liszt and Frederic Chopin’s friendship Part 1

Frederyk Chopin   I’m a long time fan of Chopin’s music since when I was a teenager. Started loving his music from hearing his Polonaise , then Noctunes , Etudes … Frederyk Chopin I was using one of Chopin’s Nocturnes as my background music for my answering machine when I was in my 20s. In Japan, many of his music is famous and used in many TV dramas, commercials, movies, and mostly wealthy bourgeois family scenes. My image of many of Chopin ’s music that I’ve listened to is of a cozy, bourgeois world. From almost all his music I’ve ever heard, I often pictured an elegant, wealthy family’s world or a story about a family who are living in a luxury antique style house. Many of Mozart ’s music reminds me of a social life in an older generation, a story about bourgeois world in a gorgeous luxury palace. For Liszt ’s music, his music is very variety, ranging from an image of a sweet passionate love story for couples, all the way to nightmare horror story type o...

My favorite ways of Law of Attraction Part 3 - Successful Wishing - Pierre Franckh

Pierre Franckh’s books “ Successful Wishing “ are another of my favorite books.     There are series, 1 to 6 , and are not published in English , but I did find them in a Japanese book store,  translated by a Japanese translator.   Pierre Franckh is a German actor ( Movies & TV) from 1959 – 2003, and is also a movie director and a writer.  Since 1996, he published many books and became a best selling author.  Franckh wrote based on his personal experiences from when he was a child . I love the way how he writes , it’s very easy to read and direct to the point, very clear how to do it with step by step instruction. Also importance of finding what you truly want.    Many people are actually not realizing what they really want and then when they get what they wanted,  still not feeling satisfied. Pierre said that before making your wishes and order to universe, it’s important to clear ...

Organic foods and healthy living “ You are what you eat ? “

We‘ve been enjoying organic foods since a month ago.   Because we care for our health and also organic foods taste more delicious than normal vegetables.   Recently, I really feel the famous quote  “ You are what you eat . “   is true.   Although healthy life comes from balance between mind, body, skin care, good night sleep and activities besides food life .   Health is a treasure.   Also I realized that “ good blood circulation ” is one of the most important key to keep healthy and look young skin.   After being amazed to see Styx’s ageless Tommy Shaw on TV, I started searching about “ secret of youth “.  He looks so much younger than his age.  Also, there was an interview with Styx on CNN in the morning about a week ago and they talked about what they think are the keys to longevity and a healthy life. http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/bestoftv/2012/04/23/ex...

”The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.” - Albert Einstein

Originally we were all creative because all children are creative. While growing up, many children lose their creativity by seeing, reading, hearing what many grown ups do and teach. According to a book called " Goal " by Brian Tracy, "Fully 95% of children tested between the ages of three and five are rated as highly creative. Of the same children tested again as teenagers, only about 5% rated  as highly creative. What happened to them in the interim ?   As they went through school, they were taught that if you want to get along, you follow the crowd. They learned not to question or challenge the teacher or to suggest unusual ideas. In their attempts to be liked and accepted by their peers, they allowed their creativity to die down, like a fire without fuel.  " "All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once they grows up." - Pablo Picasso But if we don't use creativity, we lose it. It means that the more we use cre...

Charm of Kenichi Hagiwara - Shoken

From Japanese Movie " Ame no Amsterdam (Rain in Amsterdam)" I've been into the late 1960s to 1970s generation since several years ago. I don't know why but I'm very interested in older generation's people, trends, lifestyle, scenery, habit, TV drama, music, films, etc..   and not so interested in new things much.  There are many new discoveries through checking out old stuff while reading and watching it, which I didn't know before. and about several months ago, I happened to find a youtube video of  a famous Japanese actor called Kenichi Hagiwara who was my favorite actor in 1970s when I was a kid. His nickname is Shoken and he is also a singer of Rock/blues music.                      Shoken( 18 years old) singing ”Legend of Emerald” Shoken was one of the super stars in Japan mainly from the late 60s generation to early 80s. When he was 15 years old,   he joined an amateu...
