My review - “ Welcome to my world “ - Johnny Weir, Part 2

His romance with someone he loved

I was wondering why they broke up since he mentioned about his break up with his partner during summer in 2006 ( September ), after finished long COI tour.

In that year which was Torino Olympics season, Johnny looked super super busy, US Nationals competition - Olympics - Worlds, - Marshall’s events, then COI tour until August, it was clear to see no time for his private life including for his family.

It must be tough not to meet with his partner and everyone who he loves for such a long time. .

“Alex” could not wait any longer, and was tired of being patient.

Johnny’s attitude to him also changed.

Of course, this is already past, and words like could have, would have, should have things are useless to talk, but.. I do feel like it could have been fixable, and there may have been a solution if they were really in love each other and focused on the solution more than the problem.

By only reading what he wrote, it looked to me Johnny broke the
relationship by himself and got hurt.

Johnny’s first love story reminds me of my first love, first serious relationship.

There is always exception but first love usually doesn’t result in marriage.

And I also often heard that, getting married with someone who is the second best one you have loved, not the one you love the best, will be successful marriage.

Especially for a female. The male will treat her like a princess forever.

Too much loving someone can make one’s feeling unbalanced , so maybe that’s one of the reasons it’s said marrying with a person who you love the second best one can be more balanced when it comes to marriage.

And sounded like Johnny is limiting his thoughts about the love of his life.

He said “Alex” was the first love of his life, and there’s never one like that again. Period.

Whether he thinks he will or he will never, he is right. It’s all depending on him.

It sounded like he doesn’t wish to love anyone more than Alex .

Cat & mouse relationship came to my mind after reading his love story.

Johnny didn’t write much details about it, so I don’t know but it reminds me of a guy who was my co-worker’s friend who couldn’t move on from his ex-girlfriend that had happened several years ago.

While he was with her, he was not treating her nice, and careless for her, and when she left from him, he realized how much he loved her.

The guy has many girlfriends who love him, but his mind is always his ex-girlfriend.

There are always people who are always attracted to someone who they can’t catch their heart easily and chasing.

Johnny : “ As much as I love Alex, the Weirs and skating came first and always would.”

When Johnny was saying these words, during 2004 to 2006, he was the champion in the US men’s figure skating world.

And his life looked successful, he looked happy and shining when I saw the videos of him during the time. ( there was of course ups and downs in his career though. )

I feel by having strong support from someone he loved, his relationship helped his career mentally during the time.

How his best friend Paris Childers and Johnny met each other.

Johnny has said he and Paris were hating each other before they became friends at Premiere, Pop Star On Ice. And I was wondering about that.

It looks to me Johnny has been always Paris’s nurturing person and Paris looks like a easy going trouble little child when he is with him.

Johnny described Paris as

“ In Paris, I found a kindred spirit, someone cold, rude, and abrupt on the outside but soft and shy on the inside. “

I love seeing their conversation.

I guess it’s all about the feeling , not necessarily by the words they say to each other.

There are many superficial friendship, saying nice things in face with classy polite manner, but inside, it can be opposite, most people are careless and saying unkind things in the backstage.

Two-faced people are everywhere.

And people call it as mature acting.

When Paris moved out to NY from the apartment where they both used to live, I agreed with his mom Patti.

It sounded something Paris’s selfishness and inconsideration to Johnny.

But if Johnny feels okay, it’s fine.

One part, about his experience in Bulgaria ,

A pack of wild dogs surrounded the taxi Johnny was in and they were snarling and grinding their teeth ??

What’s that ??

I’m always curious to know about other countries, and one’s experience.

I’ve never been to Bulgaria, so the place Johnny stayed there was one of the most dangerous part of Bulgaria ?

Anyways it sounds very scary… as a lover of travel myself, I will take note about it.

Johnny the way he was writing was hilarious. Lol

USFS, judges and Johnny

According to my Japanese email friend who is a figure skating fan, Japanese technical specialist Shin Amano was also saying Johnny skated better than Daisuke Takahashi , should be placed above Daisuke in Vancouver Olympics.

It was clear to me, politics, unfair judge in Olympics.

I’m actually surprised to see there are many figure skating fans who are believing the scores blindly, saying that’s the system, you just have to understand COP.

Of course it’s over, and it doesn’t come back and can not edit it whether one complains or scream.

I also love those quotes,

“ The result doesn’t lie “

“ You have to take 100% responsibility of your life. - Jack Canfield "

What is happening in the outside world is always coming from our inside world.

Johnny’s performance was wonderful, I feel he was the most impressive in the Free program, for Short program, Johnny and Daisuke.

Overall, I would rank

1. Evgeni Plushenko (some jumps were sloppy but he didn’t fall and almost clean with the content, ),

2. Johnny Weir ( he maximized the content but no quad so I would place him second plus one minor mistake. )

3. Daisuke Takahashi ( the program was ruined for me with the fall, and he stepped out and these should influence artistry score and skating skill score, his PCS were too high for this one IMO),

4. Evan Lysacek ( His SP score was too high without quad, and his PCS.. )

It’s my impression.

And it’s not how they made the COP system.

And I think about why Johnny placed 6th.

6th ??

Johnny skated from his heart, as a result he attracted so many people with his performances.

However, since for a long time he was against USFSA, judges, the COP system, he got what he gave. ( from his emotion )

“ We get what we give “.

That’s the law of nature.

I think it’s a mind game.

The list of Johnny’s picks for people he love,

At the end of the book in the “ Acknowledgements“, he listed many people who he wants to thank to, and for the list of his friend,

“ I’m possibly one of the most difficult friends to have, but my friends make up my inner circle, my confidants, the true loves of my life :

Paris Childers, Christa Goulakos, Nocole Haddad, Michael Dudas, Christopher Gale, Jodi Rudden, Kelly Bailey, Dirke Baker, Bradford Griffies, Drew Meekins, Kendra Goodwin, Tanith Belbin, Irina Slutskaya, Evgeni Plushenko, Marina Anissina, Alexander Uspenski, Rudy Galindo, Sasha and Roman Zaretsky, Ksenia Makarova, Michela Malingambi, and many many more of you who I love to no end. “

I noticed a glaring omition, why is there no Sasha Cohen in the list ?? They have been friends since when they were kids, ( same as Tanith Belbin).

From everything I’ve seen and read about her, Sasha has been nice to him, also she was the one who introduced Tarasova to him.

And what about Elene Gedevanishvilli, for a while he was wearing a pendant gift given to him by her. They looked really friendly for a while.

And why is Rudy Galindo included in the list ??

I know they were friendly during COI 2006 tour, doing throw jump together, and Rudy apologized to him for his insensitive comment in one of the articles and Johnny forgave him when the tour started even though he was upset at him until then.

But recently, since I happened to see Rudy’s unfavorable comments about Johnny’s book and new single “ Dirty Love “ in Rudy’s Facebook , I found he is not thinking Johnny as his friend at all and he doesn’t even seem to have a good impression of Johnny , ( which may be coming from his jealousy ?), I realized Rudy does not consider Johnny his friend.

No surprise that Johnny did not list Stephane Lambiel’s name, but in actuality Stephane seems to be much more nice to Johnny and thinking about Johnny as his friend than Rudy Galindo.

Johnny’s words

“ I love that I learned to trust people with my heart, even if it gets broken.

So true, it’s good to have beautiful spirit with trust. And I love this part of him as well.

It’s also good to keep note that figure skating is a competition world, so no matter what his competitors said outside, we don’t know what they are thinking inside.

Everyone is like enemy during the competition.

Johnny is beautiful. Charismatic, super talented, super popular, having own reality show, his book published, and his song, many opportunities of media appearances.

Everything he does is dynamic and impact, no wonder he gets many jealousy from his competitors or former skaters or skaters.

Skating fans who are looking down on celebrities, how they see them is often what they are themselves and it belongs to them. IMO.

Overall, I really enjoyed with his book.

It would be great if he would write his bio book again every 10 years.

Great job, Johnny !!!!

Health tips from an extra-terrestrial named Bashar - from a planet called Essassani

photo credit: skyseeker Mt. Fuji via photopin (license)    Today,  I would like to write about health tips from an extra-terrestrial being named Bashar who is from the Essassani Planet .     He is channeled by Darryl Anka. Planet earth used to have beautiful clear air, but since a long time ago the air has been polluted everywhere.    and the cause of most illnesses comes from the poison in the environment we are in, with the polluted air. Nowadays, it's hard to find places where there is beautiful clean air. and in this unfavorable environment, he is suggesting how to live healthy.   Health tips 1.  Clear Oxygen  According to Bashar,  the air after storms and typhoons have gone away, is the most clean ( purified ) and is good for our bodies. However when there is an overdose of artificial oxygen by using tools such as oxygen tanks , this can cause a lack of water, and will weaken cells. ...

Sweet Food which does not get fat - Warabi mochi

I recently love eating this sweet food that Japanese call " Warabi mochi " which is made of 0 calories food psyllium in my coffee break time.   It's sweet food but I use Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener instead of sugar when I make it. Lakanto Monk Fruit sweetener is 0 calorie s and 0 glycemic and very similar taste as normal sugar. It is said it's derived from monk fruit, which looks like a small green gourd native to regions of China and Thailand.  It's not artificial so it is not bad for health so I feel comfortable eating it. Warabi mochi is a food which is normally made of Kinako ( soybean flour) & sugar & warabi powder and it's one of my favorite foods. However it's high calorie foods so if I eat a lot, it's easy to gain weight.   Because Warabi mochi flour is Starch and has sugar in it and is high calorie.  So I was not eating it. and then recently I found the recipe of diet Warabi Mochi which is made of Psyllium...

Beauty skin care, Ninon de L'Enclos ‘s Secret of her young skin

Besides extra virgin olive oil, I’ve been doing a mixture of another great natural formula since two weeks ago. This information came from Ray who happened to find about Ninon de L’Enclos ’s amazing story concerning her youthful skin. According to the article, Ninon de L’ Enclos is known as a famous French beauty from the late 1600s. She kept her youthful skin until 85 years old when she passed away. Even in to her 80’s she was attracting many young men who fell hopelessly in love with her. She never published her secret of her youthful skin until the end , only telling her special friends about her secret formula. There is no photo of her, but seeing her painting in other websites, she looks in her 30’s when she was 85. According to the article, her face was as smooth and free of winkles in her 80’S as it had been at 20. She hated wrinkles and successfully kept her skin youthful , using her special secret formula. This information blew me away, and immediately ...

Franz Liszt’s dangerous love

Franz Liszt was quite tall in his generation, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall , long blonde hair , piercing sharp eyes, pianist' long narrow and delicate hands and fingers. His body build was very slender. People who knew him described his personality as full of charm, charisma, and very knowledgeable.  And he loved brainy women. He was the consummate artist. It seems that Liszt loved dangerous love , which thrilled him and gave him excitement rather than a stable, peaceful , safe love. Franz Liszt While reading about his biography, I was wondering why he fell in love with two princesses who were already married. Marie D’Agoult He seems to have had a lot of love affairs in his life, someone found out that he had at least 26 serious relationships in his life ( besides countless other affairs ) but the only ladies he thought about marriage was with these two princesses , Marie D’Agoult and Carolyne Sayn Wittgenstein ? Charlotte Von Hagn ...

Franz Liszt and Frederic Chopin’s friendship Part 1

Frederyk Chopin   I’m a long time fan of Chopin’s music since when I was a teenager. Started loving his music from hearing his Polonaise , then Noctunes , Etudes … Frederyk Chopin I was using one of Chopin’s Nocturnes as my background music for my answering machine when I was in my 20s. In Japan, many of his music is famous and used in many TV dramas, commercials, movies, and mostly wealthy bourgeois family scenes. My image of many of Chopin ’s music that I’ve listened to is of a cozy, bourgeois world. From almost all his music I’ve ever heard, I often pictured an elegant, wealthy family’s world or a story about a family who are living in a luxury antique style house. Many of Mozart ’s music reminds me of a social life in an older generation, a story about bourgeois world in a gorgeous luxury palace. For Liszt ’s music, his music is very variety, ranging from an image of a sweet passionate love story for couples, all the way to nightmare horror story type o...

My favorite ways of Law of Attraction Part 3 - Successful Wishing - Pierre Franckh

Pierre Franckh’s books “ Successful Wishing “ are another of my favorite books.     There are series, 1 to 6 , and are not published in English , but I did find them in a Japanese book store,  translated by a Japanese translator.   Pierre Franckh is a German actor ( Movies & TV) from 1959 – 2003, and is also a movie director and a writer.  Since 1996, he published many books and became a best selling author.  Franckh wrote based on his personal experiences from when he was a child . I love the way how he writes , it’s very easy to read and direct to the point, very clear how to do it with step by step instruction. Also importance of finding what you truly want.    Many people are actually not realizing what they really want and then when they get what they wanted,  still not feeling satisfied. Pierre said that before making your wishes and order to universe, it’s important to clear ...

Organic foods and healthy living “ You are what you eat ? “

We‘ve been enjoying organic foods since a month ago.   Because we care for our health and also organic foods taste more delicious than normal vegetables.   Recently, I really feel the famous quote  “ You are what you eat . “   is true.   Although healthy life comes from balance between mind, body, skin care, good night sleep and activities besides food life .   Health is a treasure.   Also I realized that “ good blood circulation ” is one of the most important key to keep healthy and look young skin.   After being amazed to see Styx’s ageless Tommy Shaw on TV, I started searching about “ secret of youth “.  He looks so much younger than his age.  Also, there was an interview with Styx on CNN in the morning about a week ago and they talked about what they think are the keys to longevity and a healthy life. http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/bestoftv/2012/04/23/ex...

”The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.” - Albert Einstein

Originally we were all creative because all children are creative. While growing up, many children lose their creativity by seeing, reading, hearing what many grown ups do and teach. According to a book called " Goal " by Brian Tracy, "Fully 95% of children tested between the ages of three and five are rated as highly creative. Of the same children tested again as teenagers, only about 5% rated  as highly creative. What happened to them in the interim ?   As they went through school, they were taught that if you want to get along, you follow the crowd. They learned not to question or challenge the teacher or to suggest unusual ideas. In their attempts to be liked and accepted by their peers, they allowed their creativity to die down, like a fire without fuel.  " "All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once they grows up." - Pablo Picasso But if we don't use creativity, we lose it. It means that the more we use cre...

Charm of Kenichi Hagiwara - Shoken

From Japanese Movie " Ame no Amsterdam (Rain in Amsterdam)" I've been into the late 1960s to 1970s generation since several years ago. I don't know why but I'm very interested in older generation's people, trends, lifestyle, scenery, habit, TV drama, music, films, etc..   and not so interested in new things much.  There are many new discoveries through checking out old stuff while reading and watching it, which I didn't know before. and about several months ago, I happened to find a youtube video of  a famous Japanese actor called Kenichi Hagiwara who was my favorite actor in 1970s when I was a kid. His nickname is Shoken and he is also a singer of Rock/blues music.                      Shoken( 18 years old) singing ”Legend of Emerald” Shoken was one of the super stars in Japan mainly from the late 60s generation to early 80s. When he was 15 years old,   he joined an amateu...
