I wasn’t watching swimming until last Olympics, maybe only one Olympics when I was a little girl, the times when Mark Spitz was winning everything, because my dad was watching it.
But in this London Olympics, we both are very into it because curious to see Phelps VS Lochte .
I didn’t know about Ryan Lochte until this Olympics, but when I checked his career he was always behind Michael Phelps every Olympics although he was on the podiums with Phelps.
People were speculating about Michael Phelps, some say he didn’t want to compete in Olympics anymore and had another new plan for his life but his mother wanted him to compete so he went to London.
In the last Olympics in Beijing he won 8 gold medals.
In London, he was out of the medals in the first day of competition and Lochte won.
However, after that, Phelps seems like he brought back his focus, and he has been winning Silver or Gold since then.
Yesterday, it was shame because Phelps could have easily won.
He was leading the entire race until like the last 15 feet, it looks like he relaxed too much, and the other swimmer Le Clos stretched out to touch the wall a fraction of a second to win. Phelps took Silver.
But it’s amazing even though he is not so hungry like he was 4 years and 8 years ago, he is still winning silver and gold.
He is definitely a great motivation athlete for me.
I like both Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte and was rooting for team USA for 4X 100m relay in the second day of Olympics.
It was very exciting, and I was shouting to the TV “ Go USA !! Go Go “ which I’ve never shouted like that.
I thought USA will easily win it because they were leading until the last part and the anchor was Lochte.
But an unbelievable thing happened, suddenly in the last sparks, the French anchor swimmer was speeding, catching up, looked like a Ferrari car or something, and beat everyone !!!
That swimmer was so cool. He came out of nowhere from far behind.
Think his name is Yannick Agnel.
Will need to research more about him.
USA swimmers looked quite disappointed, especially Lochte.

And Yannick Agnel did it again.
There is another swimmer I was impressed with, also very fast.
His name is Sun Yang, a Chinese swimmer.
Here is the result for 200m free style final ,
1. Yannick Agnel - France 1:43.14
2. Sun Yang - China 1:44.93
2. Park Taehwen - Korea 1:44.93
4. Ryan Lochte - USA 1:45.04
5. Paul Biedermann - Germany 1:45.53
6. Renwick Robbie - Great Britain 1:46.53
7. Fraser Holmes Thomas - Australia 1:46.93
8. Izotov Danila - Russia 1:47.75

I suppose Yannick Agnel is the fastest swimmer in this Olympics.
Yesterday, we were watching another relay for men’s swimming 4x 200m relay final and there was another excitement .
Team USA ’s anchor this time was Michael Phelps. Lotche was the first.
I really think all the swimmers in the team USA are very fast.
This time, they were not beaten by Team France with their superstar swimmer Yannick Agnel .
Besides Yannick, Team France’s swimmers are not as fast as any of team USA swimmers .
So French team was far behind the USA team, was around 5th or 6th by the time Yannick jumped into the pool, so he could not catch USA this time.
I understand that in order to not be beaten by Yannick Agnel, other swimmers need at least 4.5 second lead in front of him to win.
This swimmer is quite unbelievable.

Highlights: Michael Phelps Earns Record 19th Medal In 4x200m Relay
“ The United States wins gold in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay. With his 19th medal, Michael Phelps becomes the most decorated athlete in Olympic history. “
Congratulations to team USA and Michael Phelps who made Olympic history !
And for women swimmers, YE Shiwen from China just blew me away !
She is the biggest impact, amazingly fast and made OR for 200m Medley.
She seems to be winning all her races by a full body length or more. She propels herself like a rocket.
She is doing so awesome that it seems like people were suspicious about why she can swim so fast. However, she passed the drug test with flying colors.
IOC: China's Shiwen passed drug test
I understand when athletes are doing unbelievably good job, people don’t want to believe it when that athlete is from another country.
I believe it, and want to know what is the key to swim fast like her.
Olympics is still continuing, and I look forward to watching her other races !
