Which music makes you cry, makes you feel nostalgic ?
Music which I have great memory with the generation, but haven't listened to them for a long time, almost 30 years makes me so nostalgic, and made me tears.
I love this feeling.
Recently, my husband and I enjoy listening & dancing to 1970s music.
I'm so surprised to know Abba's songs are still on top of the sales in Sweden, and still listened to all over the world.
The two men in Abba , Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, who composed all their music are definitely music genius.
And the two Abba lady singers, Agnetha Faltskog and Anni Frid Lyngstad have the voices of angels.
They had sold over 370 millions in album sales, and are still selling millions of CDs each year, making them one of the top selling music artists in history.
My husband's favorite ladies singers are Olivia Newton- John and Abba's Agnetha Faltskog.
I think these two have a similar type of voice and singing style.
Naturally beautiful, crystal clear high voice.
I found no one sings like them nowadays, and it's been that way since about 20 years ago.
Many lady singers try to sing like Whitney Houston nowadays. Whitney was a great singer and I loved her singing and her voice and I went to her concert, but other singers who are copying her are losing their originality and uniqueness. ( IMO )
Here are some of my top favorite 70s disco music below.
Abba - Lay All Your Love On Me
I love almost all Abba's music , but must say this song "Lay all your love on me" is my all time top favorite song of Abba.
It's disco music mixed with a dash of classical style music . I have a great memory with this song.
Abba - Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie
Abba - Summer Night City
Olivia Newton John - Xanadu (1980)
This song was composed by Jeff Lynne - the genius composer, mulch-instrumentalist and singer for the English rock band - Electric Light Orchestra.
And Olivia's singing is pure gold - other worldly.
Olivia Newton-John - Have you Never Been Mellow ( 1975 )
1970s disco
When I was a teenager, I often went to the disco every Saturday night. and my all time favorite dancing music are still my generation's music.
I love music and dancing since I was teenager.
卑弥呼(Himiko) パッショナータ Passionata
This, this this !
So Happy, finally I was able to find this song !
Besides Abba's- Lay All Your Love On Me , this Passionata's Himiko was my super favorite dancing music at that time.
Himiko sounds too cool. The composer of this song might be making Himiko's image in his/her own way but in any case, in actuality, she was a shaman Queen of ancient Japan, in the area of Yamataikoku, she was known as a beautiful mysterious lady.
It's said Himiko had psychic power and was able to connect with a god.
While she was the queen, Japan kept a peaceful life.

I admired Himiko like a role model.
1970s may be my favorite time for music. So many memorable wonderful heartfelt warm music.
I will often list tributes to 1970s music.
