Finally, these items arrived here !
Especially the DVD of the Robbin Williams movie " What dreams may come " !
We've been looking for the DVD of the movie since last month around August 11, after hearing the sad news about Robbin Williams.
I remember that there was one DVD of " What dreams may come " was in the Barnes and Noble's book store here when we went there on August 4.
But I was looking for another movie at that time so I didn't get it then , but was planning to get it the following week.
Then when we went to the bookstore on August 11, it was already sold out.
so we looked for it many other places, but it was all sold out, so we purchased it in amazon.com
and waited for it coming here until this week .
So I'm so glad to get it finally.
It's so strange when we were not looking for it , we could easily find the item, but when we wanted it and looking for it, it was hard to get it. Why ?
I've watched this movie twice in the past.
First time I watched it in Japan a long time ago, I wasn't getting the story because maybe I didn't understand the meaning of it at that time.
Then when I watched it again several years ago with my husband , I felt
" What a great movie ! It's very thought provoking. "
But we were renting it at that time and didn't buy it until now.
and then this week , the third time when I watched it with my husband again , there were parts which made both of us tears.
Because his acting was amazing.
This " What dreams may come " and " Patch Adams " are my favorite of his movies.
The story of this movie " What dreams may come " is about life after death.
The quote on the DVD movie cover is " After life, there is more... "
Robin Williams plays a doctor called Chris, and his wife who is played by Annabella Sciorra is a painter called Annie.
They met each other on a lake in Switzerland where by chance they happened to be both traveling at the same time, surrounded by beautiful mountains view on small boats, and eventually got married.
They had two kids, however both of them passed away by car accident when they were teenagers.
Then the wife became depressed and cut her wrists by herself , but she was recovered with her husband's ( Robin Williams ) help.
Then when the husband was on his way home from work by a car, he saw a car accident in front of his car in a tunnel.
He got out of his car and tried to help the person in the accident who was now at the bottom of her crushed car.
However, soon , another car who had been traveling too fast and had not seen the accident crashed into all of them, the car flew into Chris ( Robin Williams ).
Since then the picture blacks out for awhile, he lost consciousness.
Then when he wakes up, he realizes he is in a beautiful place where there are beautiful colorful flowers, as if he is in his wife's painting world which he and his wife dreamed about.
and he walked in the flower garden, and he got colorful paint on his body everywhere.
Then his own dream world started.
and his spirit guide( or guardian angel ) is navigating and explaining to him about what happened and about that world.
The guardian angel says there is no rule, no time in that world.
Everyone can have their own private world, private universe, which they create from imagination.
The scenery picture is breathtakingly, heavenly, beautiful.
This movie was the academy awards winner for Best Visual Effects in 1998.
I really believe that this is not just a fantasy story, but it's the truth, because it's a match with what all the spirit guides I've ever read, have said.
When I first time watched this movie, I was not into spiritual things at that time and I didn't understand it.
I just thought it's a fantasy story.
Maybe it's from my belief which was brainwashed from my environment when I grew up (?) .
I was not a religious person at all, even though for funerals , my family always belonged with the Buddha way.
Originally , I felt life after death is something scary to think about and didn't want to think about it, until my dear mother and also my dear dog passed away.
I started to get into spiritual world topics after that.
I wanted to know what will happen after people died and started reading about spiritual world.
My husband was already reading Jane Roberts "Seth" books and many other spiritual books since he was a teenager , because his father was a strict Christian and he was often wondering many things which he wasn't sure about.
He just could not believe blindly what was told by his father based on strict religious belief.
So he already knew many things and easy to understand the meaning of the movie.
One of the points of this movie, we think, is that even people who commit suicide can be helped and can eventually create their own ideal world.
In this story, after Chris ( Williams) died, his wife Annie got depression again and she ended up committing suicide.
and Chris's spirit guide told him that because she committed suicide, he will never be able to see her anymore.
Because the spirit guide said that in his experience no one has ever succeeded in rescuing a soul after they commit suicide.
He didn't say it's absolutely always impossible, because there is no rule, just that he had never seen it happen.
No one in the place where there are many spirits who had committed suicide had been able to create their ideal reality because they are all mental ill, they see a dark world, and they are surrounded by suffering in a cold dark place, because this is what they picture in their mind.
They created that world themselves from their imagination and belief.
But Chris decided to challenge to rescue his wife, by listening to the advice from another one of his spirit guides, which would be by removing her reality which she created by gently guiding her to focusing her imagination to his reality which is heaven.
About suicide,
I knew that suicide would never solve your suffering if it's attempted and it will keep continue the feelings even after died. so I was always remembering no matter how hard my life could be, I would never think about suicide.
I actually thought Robbin Williams also knew about it, because he was playing this movie.
So I'm very shocked to hear what happened to him.
But when people get depression, their frequency level gets lower and lower, and I've read stories from people who can see spirits, frequency attracts similar level of frequency, and a low level spirit may take over that person's body and attempt suicide.
What I read about it is that people who attempt suicide , their minds are already mentally ill , and their mind might be strongly influenced by a low level other spirit, so they can do such an action.
According to " Seth " ( who is a spirit guide ), there are spiritual hospitals for the spirits who commit suicide and who are mentally ill in another world after death.
There are many after death " doctors and nurses " spirits who care for people who are mentally ill after death.
There are also spirits who, after death, are still staying in this world which they created.
and those spirits who were lost and are still staying in this planet earth , are attracted to people who have same frequency level.
According to the famous psychologist Carl Yung, when we are ignoring our own voice, and too much following and care for the rules of the outside of world, instead of our inner world, our mind loses balance , and that's how people get mental illness.
I've also heard that mental hospital's doctors and healers sometimes get mental illness while they were helping their patients.
This is because they were taken over to the patient's reality and focus on the patient's world too much rather than staying in their own reality.
If our subconscious minds are often constantly focusing on the same things, every day, it becomes reality.
It's really each their own, each spirit has their own private world and there is no limit and no rule and no time.
So it's actually just so fun to imagine my own world.
I will only include my favorite people, and favorite things in my private world.
and will focus only beautiful things which I love.
There is only love and beauty.
In that movie, Chris ( Williams ) was told by his spirit guide that he and his wife Annie ( Sciorra ) were soul mates.
so they are always meeting each other in every life whenever they challenge to go to the planet earth to have new life ?
Everyone has their soul mate, and sometimes they are mother or father and child, sometimes best friends, so it's not always marriage couple.
In the movie it's also said that we can also choose our looks, whoever or whatever we want to be.
This is exactly what other spirit guides said in the books I've ever read.
This movie is very thinkable to me and gave us the hint to live and have better life in this world.
It's interesting to me, and when I think about my life and my soul mate,
I feel my soul mate is my husband Ray.
We were born in such a far away , and it took a long time to meet each other.
But from the beginning, I felt something strong connection with his spirit and felt very comfortable to be together.
Seems like parents and brothers and sisters are also something connection from our past life.
As much as I respect my parents and love all my family, however I don't know why but I've never felt strong connection to them.
but when I think about my mother's soul mate, I didn't feel both of her husbands she got married with, didn't seem to have strong connection with her.
So I suppose that not all the spirits can meet their soul mate in one life in this planet earth.
Or both could not get together but appeared as best friend or someone close family.
Robbin Williams acting was so emotional and something so deep, so we both got tears.
This movie is one of my favorite movies I've ever seen.
I think Robin Williams is one of the greatest men's actors in history, as well as Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hanks, Jack Nicholson, Robert De Niro, Michael Caine and Michael Douglas.
Robin Williams' acting will be remembered by so many people in the world.
