Coconut oil has been known as one of the good healthy foods and I also thought so until recently.
There are many benefits to eat coconut oil and what was good for me and my husband were
* Get high energy
* Improve bowel movements
* Anti aging
* Get glossy hair
* Get smooth lighter skin
I was always using virgin coconut oil ( about 45g for six large muffins ) when making blueberry muffins since 2013 ( about 8 years ago ).
and it's mainly for my husband because he loves it and he was eating one each for lunch every day.
It was no problem until recently.
He was also putting the coconut oil into his coffee sometimes and when he was drinking coconut oil coffee, his skin looked young.
However since a few months ago he noticed that whenever he was drinking coffee with coconut oil , he got insomnia.
He has several other foods which make him insomnia when he eats at night time , such as pumpkin, red pepper but did not realize coconut oil was also a problem with it.
Besides that, since last month, he stopped eating the blueberry muffins with coconut oil because he noticed that he felt his heart started beating whenever he eats the muffin with coconut oil.
and I also got problem having rashes on my arm and back , like I got skin allergy with coconut oil.
So I stopped eating it since I found it out, and the rashes stopped.
I was wondering why ?
I've read and heard about that coconut oil contains healthy fatty acid.
It's said that " The fatty acids in coconut oil can encourage your body to burn fat, and they provide quick energy to your body and brain.
They also raise HDL (good) cholesterol in your blood, which may help reduce heart disease risk."
But since our bodies got negative reaction by eating coconut oil, at least it's not for us.

Karin Michel, a professor of epidemiology at Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, explained in a lecture that coconut oil is not a healthy ingredient.
It's said that having too much saturated fatty acids can get heart disease risk.
It can cause cholesterol to build up in our arteries (blood vessels).
Saturated fats raise our LDL (bad) cholesterol.
High LDL cholesterol increases your risk for heart disease and stroke.
Coconut oil isn't really poisonous, but according to data from the American Heart Association, more than 80% of the fat in coconut oil is saturated fatty acids.
This is a much higher percentage than butter (63%), beef (50%) and pork (39%). and it's twice that of lard.
It is said that high intake of saturated fatty acids increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.
No wonder why my husband was getting heart beating after eating the coconut oil.
When he was younger, it was fine to eat coconut oil, so for young people it may be no problem if they do not eat too much.
There are many foods which are known as " healthy", but depending on the person, and depending on age , it can be poison.
In my case, I have allergy for many kinds of tea ( such as Green tea, English tea, Chinese tea etc... ) , and vinegar and coffee ( except for Costa Rica coffee ).
Tea and vinegar are well-known as healthy in the world, but I get asthma when I drink tea, and I get skin allergy and urticaria when I eat or drink vinegar.
I rarely heard someone has allergy with these foods. so no one could find the cause of my allergy until when I discovered about it by myself when I became 30 years old.
To keep our body healthy, it's always good to pay attention for our natural feelings through our bodies.
