Emanuel Sandhu is always one of my favorite artistic skaters , as well as Johnny Weir and Tatiana Navka. Since Sandhu stopped competing , I missed his skating a lot.
I found his incredibly dancing skill when I saw his tango performance in 2004 worlds. He fell on most of his jumps in it, but his dancing was amazing.
I thought he became a completely different person on ice and Tango’s Sandhu looked so cool. And his beautiful each detailed line of movements was so magical.
I look more for whole performance than each element, I don’t only sort to watch how footwork was , spins were , jumps were , and choreography was.
For competitions, to check scores, I need to watch that way, but as an entertainment, I usually don’t.
I thought Sandhu and Johnny both are far above, in a class of their own in artistry because of their beautiful artistic line of movements, natural expression, with deep emotion.
According to the latest Sandhu’s news, he has just passed his first audition for dance on September 14.
Here is the youtube link for his audition below,

It was great to see Sandhu dancing in it.
Yes ! He was amazing !
Unlike many dancers, he can add triple jumps in the performance. And I love his movements !
But maybe if he wore dancing shoes instead of the one he was wearing , he could show more his gorgeous line. Shoes are very important and make the line look different depending on them.
There are three judges in front of him, and asking some questions and were commenting about his performance after he finished it.
I thought two of the judges, a lady who was sitting in the middle, and a young guy who was in the left side were commenting pretty mean things.
The lady says that he has everything but she just didn’t like one of his choreography, and she thought it’s girly. And he didn’t need to do it and
hope he will go different way.
I looked it as his sense of humor, but seems like it didn’t work to her and the young guy.
The young guy judge was saying that Sandhu’s attitude , called Prima donna.???
Weird..
Maybe Canada and America both may be similar that part ?
Why comment girly move ?
I still don’t really understand what kind of move is girly and masculine, because I don’t watch dance that way, checking to make sure which movement may be girly and which masculine.
Even though she was saying not nice thing about it, I thought Sandhu was nice.
Nothing diva to me.
But it was nice , as a result he passed it ! And He looked super happy for it. LOL. I would be surprised if they didn’t approve him.
I don’t know why many people consider his attitude is bad.
He is arrogant, diva ? Too much himself ?
Maybe.
He is an incredible dancer, and an artist, and he knows that.
And he is just telling what he think about himself honestly.
I know it’s good to be humble.
But has he ever hurt someone ?
I don’t think so.
His attitude doesn’t bother me. I think he is a funny guy and I like him.
Maybe he may be not good at practical living, because being himself. But I’m kind of liking that kind of people who are not good at living with no calculation than people who are good at practical living, showing different public faces and private faces.
I also loved Sandhu’s fashion when he was talking at the sofa. His watch ( or something he is wearing in his right wrist ) reminds me of Jean Paul Gaultier’s watch.
Hope he will pass all the auditions !
Johnny, Sandhu and Navka, all my favorite artists don’t look friends each other.
But I’m still hoping they will be in a same show and will have an opportunity to see their live performances someday.
