I’m still looking for Sandhu’s final audition for “ So You think You can dance “ on YouTube and haven’t seen it yet.
But when I saw the top 20 dancers list , Sandhu’s name was not there.
According to the article,
“ After the judges had made their decisions, Emanuel Sandhu was first on stage.
The judges said they debated his fate more than any other dancer as they loved his tricks and his ballet training, but in the end thought his transitions just weren't there. Even still, he was optimistic and trusted that there was something else out there for him. “
Sounds like Sandhu’s dance was not what they were looking for and was not fit with their theme.
I saw the top 20 dancers who passed the audition, some parts of performances, but I was not so impressed with any of them.
It reminds me of many dancers in the movie " Chorus line ".
I used to like the movie , not the story but it was fun to watch many dancers in it. I watched for each dancer’s every detail of movements.
But since I saw Sandhu and Tatiana Navka’s dancing on ice, when I re-watched the movie, I realized my eye sight changed.
I felt like those A Chorus Line dancers looked like averagely good amateur disco dancers compared with them. Not great professional dancers that I thought they were before. This is of course my personal view.
I would rather watch Sandhu dancing more than any of those top 20 dancers.
He has full of personality in his dance with beautiful artistic line. And his every movement is so light and effortless. And so much detail. I thought he IS THE music.
Hope Sandhu is okay, because no need to feel bad for the result he received from the judges opinion.
It’s just the result.
There was an interesting info in the book “ The Winning mindset ‘ by Jim Brault and Kevin Seaman.
In the book it states the following :
How could someone who has knowledge about music composing say Beethoven was hopeless as a composer ?
No matter someone judges and tells you that you are good or bad, believe yourself, it‘s just someone‘s opinion and not the fact.
The key is always how we deal with it when we got the result.
Maybe best way to think is how will this experience make you better and stronger ?
