Ray’s oldest brother ( my brother-in-law) and his wife ( my sister-in-law ) visited us from Kansas on Thursday and Friday ( April 29, 30) and we spent quality two days together at our place and also at the desert museum.
We have been living far away from our families since Ray transferred to Tucson, AZ for his work in 2003, and we haven’t seen his oldest brother ( and also other families ) for ages. He got married with his new wife in 2004 ,so it was our first time to meet her.
They had several plans while visiting Arizona, one of them was attending David R.Hawkins seminar in Sedona, AZ. And after that they took a road trip to Grand Canyon and then they visited us in Tucson.
They said Grand Canyon is amazing but Sedona is more beautiful.
I think Sedona is the most beautiful place in Arizona, and some people say it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Seems like many New Age people live in Sedona.
For sightseeing, I think Sedona is the best in Arizona, and for shopping Scottsdale, but to live , Ray and I both love Tucson.
In the first day, we just relaxed chatting at our living room talking about many things and for dinner, we ate out at Sweet tomato restaurant. And after that we came back to our place and had a conversation about many things spiritual .
They stayed at a hotel around our apartment.
In the second day, we went to the desert museum which is a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden, all in place.
There are more than 300 animal species and 1200 kinds of plants on display, alive in their natural desert settings.
This is one of the rattle snakes but there were many kind of rattle snakes in the museum.
One of the wild cats, Puma. I think there was much bigger mountain lions also when we've been there 6 years ago but somehow we could not find them.
Beautiful scenery at the desert loop trail. So many cactuses.
I loved this place above, very peaceful & beautiful.
Wild pig, it's similar to boar. There was a description with the title " We are NOT Pig ! ". But Ray was saying " They are pigs, look at the faces, it's a pig face !" lol.
A racoon, so cute !
Organ cactus.
Deserts plants look unique and artistic.
After that , we went to Macaroni Grill restaurant. Mostly our topic of the conversation was about spiritual things.
Ray and I both don’t read about it as much anymore now, because we already read so many, and we were basically satisfied with the answers we found.
Ray was actually interested in these things when he was still a teenager , and Seth and Jane Roberts were his favorites because he felt they were the most deep.
I've never read her books but It’s kind of similar to “ Law of attraction ” which I love.
Everyone has their own view and favorite authors and favorite paths to “ the truth “ , so whichever makes you feel good, positive and happy, I think it’s the best.
They seem to be really big fans of David R.Hawkins, MD, Ph.D and they were excited to meet him at the seminar.
Passion is wonderful.
Just like I and Ray have passion for our favorite skaters and figure skating.
We have Johnny Weir ‘s photo with autograph on it with a frame in our room, and when we were talking about him, my sister-in-law told us she had seen Johnny was on Larry King and also Joy Behar ‘s show. And she said she thought he is a wise person. I was so happy to hear her impression.
They sometimes watch figure skating but mainly to watch artistry and no interest to know about technical parts. They just like to see beauty. It’s pure.
I also felt that long time figure skating fans who have knowledge about technical parts, especially since this mathematical judging system, many of them might be lacking of artistic views.
Too much care for edges, they seem watching skater’s feet, rather than whole balance of artistry.
I value opinions of people who have never watched skating when it comes to artistry.
It was nice talking with them many things and we had a wonderful time together.
