Johnny closed his Myspace

According to Johnny, he has been receiving alarming amount of hateful threatening letters through his myspace. He had opened it as a way to be closer to his fans and friends about a year and a half ago. It’s also hard to continue in his limited time to personally log on to MySpace so he decided to close his myspace. It’s so sad and a shame to hear about it. I joined my myspace because Johnny started it. I’m trying not to get angry for people who has been bothering him, sending such a threatening letters. In internet, people can be mean when they have no responsibility for their ID. So many idiots get behind a computer screen and get brave and think it's funny to threaten and insult people. I don’t know what kind of threaten messages he has been receiving. But it’s a crime. I wonder if he told Police about it with all those proof of threats he received ? But he also need to focus on his goal, and he may not want to think about it anymore. Even though he closed his myspace, t...

Hanging around

Ray and I were hanging around a shopping mall yesterday. Since my work is desk work and it's easy to spend a time whole day at a computer, I needed some exercise for my health. On the way to the shopping mall, we stopped at Wendy's for our lunch. Even though I know fast foods are not good for health, I sometimes love to eat those foods. Unlike Japan, we can see all the ages people at this fast foods store. In Japan, only young people are loving to eat junk foods and senior people are not liking oily foods and meats. I remember that when first Mac Donald chain store was opened in Tokyo, I was about 12 years old.  It was very interesting to see those foods in CM on TV. Especially , French fry ! My parents said it's kind of like a snack , and not real meals. My parents had never eaten those foods. They loved only traditional Japanese foods. I'm already getting used to seeing American foods , but I still remember that American Hamburgers are bigger than...

My birthday

Yesterday ( July 17 ) was my 45 years birthday.  Usually, I’m not so a big fan of doing something special for my birthday, same as other holidays and national holidays. But suddenly I really felt wanting to eat sushi or chirashi sushi yesterday and Ray found a great Japanese restaurant for me and made a reservation for our dinner. Before we took action, we are already careful to choose things to avoid to get disappointed later, and we started checking reviews of all Tucson Japanese restaurants. And we went to one of the best reviewed restaurant “ Sushi on Oracle “ , because it’s the nearest place from our home. It’s a small Japanese restaurant, but the food was much more delicious than I expected.  Surely it was the most delicious Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been in the U.S.A. The staff there ( Sushi on Oracle ) were friendly and polite. We ordered egg roll , a gedashi Tofu , as appetizer, and for main dishes, Chirashi sushi for me, and Teriyaki beef for Ray. ...

People’s taste & psychology

It’s so interesting to see how people see things differently in the world. Right now, I’m very into watching figure skating and when watching one particular skater, people’s impressions are so different. I found that the more people try to convince their opinion, the more other people who disagree are coming. Maybe it’s better not to try to convince their opinion to others except in situations where it’s something that is a known fact and truth.  Other wise, people will get more thick head for their opinions. Actually, I think it’s good to have different opinion from others. Just maybe how we all tell our opinion may be more important when it comes to influencing other people’s feeling. When we have disagreement, many people start to talk aggressive ways , correcting which is right or wrong .  So argument starts. I also found that when someone compliment and who gush for their favorite skaters, and putting them up too much , always others come to bash the skaters....

Favorite ice shows

I’m feeling that ice shows are so different depending on country, and my favorite ice show I’ve ever seen is still Olympic French Gala which was held in Bercy, France 2006. Because it was completely entertainment. I could not see the live show and I watched it only by DVD, but I’m still enjoying. In opening show, there were only professional skaters who can dance well ( balletic movement ) And the spot lights setting was very artistic and unique, using variety colors of spot lights. Johnny was also attending the show, and somehow I thought it fits him. Recently , Dream on ice show was held in Japan and it was included all the top Japanese eligible skaters and Johnny Weir, Stephane Lambiel and Sara Meier were the guest skaters. I haven’t seen the complete show, and just watched some skaters performances on YouTube, and could not find the opening and finale show. Many Japanese skaters were doing Latin theme of music ( tango & etc.. ) with black & red costumes. And I’ve read ...

What will happen next season ? ( Men’s Figure skating )

Recently, so many new info about Johnny or something related to him is just coming constantly.  And I was shocked to hear that one of Johnny’s competitor Stephane Lambiel ( from Switzerland ) who was a two time world champion is going to work with Johnny’s coaches Galina and Victor Petrenko this season. He will move to ( or has already moved ) NJ, U.S.A from his hometown Switzerland. As a Johnny fan, this news didn’t make me happy. Lambiel has been struggling with his jumps especially for 3A and quad combo past years, and I heard some people started talking Lambiel is going to retire and will not be in next Olympics.  He must be hard and really wanted to fix his jump technique for Olympics. Johnny's beauty But … thinking from Johnny’s side, One of the reason Johnny decided to work with Galina team was they can always check and see his skating.  And after his successful last season, Galina/Petrenko received application from the top skater…  I was upset ...

Ballet dancers

Besides figure skating, I also love to watch ballet. However, I’ve never had special favorite ballet dancer in the past. I just love to watch beautiful elegant movements of Russian ladies ballet dancers and also was interested in the story. My favorite theme was always “ Giselle “ and “ Nut cracker”. Recently, I found an amazing men’s ballet dancer called “ Daniil Simkin “ who is from Austria. I found him in Johnny ( Weir )’s Myspace a several month ago but at that time my mind was full of about skating COP, so I didn’t pay attention for his performances. And after the skating COP season (2007-2008 ) was over , one day there was an American men’s ballet dancer documentary on TV, and by chance, my husband and I both saw it. We both were not so inspired with the performances the TV program showed, because it looked like sports, acrobat or Chinese Kung fu , instead of classic ballet. More technically performance than artistry. It’s too masculine for me... I wonder is it because of c...
