My review - Be good Johnny Weir Episode #6

This episode shows mainly behind the scene of his NHK Trophy competition. Before left to Japan, Galina's coaching was different than it was before going to Rostelecom cup. His jump condition didn’t look good and was struggling with the same jump when he made a mistake at “stars , Stripes and skates “ and “Rostelecom Cup “. Galina was trying to make him more confident. It was funny when she told him “ You are the most handsome skater, you are the best !” It’s true, but what does his being handsome have to do with skating… lol And loved her words to Johnny “ Step over yourself, whatever part of you is stopping you, step over it !” I thought that coaching way Galina did was successful as a result for his motivation. If she coached in hysteric , mean way like she had before, it doesn’t help anything, he would just get negativity in his mind and easy to get fear. For off ice parts, I love to see his neatness in his apartment. and love his decorat...

If Johnny Weir would make his own ice show tour

Stars On Ice ( SOI ) has never been inviting Johnny Weir who is the three time US Nationals Champion, 2008 World bronze medallist, two time Grand Prix Final bronze medallist, also Johnny is the most popular skater who can attract many fans in the world from his unique creative beautiful skating every time he perform.  In his twitter , he has followers over 48, 000 , Facebook over 33, 000 . They could make a lot of money if they would include Johnny Weir.  Here is the article about Johnny responds to Stars On Ice Tour.  http://www.accesshollywood.com/johnny-weir-responds-to-stars-on-ice-tour-exclusion-id-love-to-have-my-own-show-maybe-getting-lady-gaga_article_30075 During 2008, there was a poll for “ which skater do you want to see the most as a guest in SOI ?” and Johnny Weir won by far from any other skaters in the poll.  However seems like their decision in that season was already decided to invite Evan Lysacek and Tanith & Ben before they star...

Johnny withdrew from Worlds Torino, 2010

http://ow.ly/1gk7h I was not surprised to hear about this news since hearing he was meeting with a book publisher with Tara before he went to LA.  I was guessing he may not go to Worlds and might have decided to retire. And I’m happy for his decision because if he thought it’s the best for him, I think that’s the best. Personally I was already getting tired to watch COP competitions with the political games, bias from judges, and I don’t feel this kind of system fit with artist types like Johnny who is perfectionist for every details movements and lines plus natural expression with music. So I don’t have disappointment about his withdrawal, since I was more hoping for it.    I feel sorry for his fans who bought ticket to see him in Worlds ,Torino.    And also for his new fans who discovered him recently. My husband and I were also the same when we discovered Johnny, we started collecting all the dvds which has all the his performances...

My review - Be Good Johnny Weir Episode#5

This episode was a little stressful in some parts but the part where his super agent Tara Morin and Johnny were at his apartment cracked us up. It started from before he leaves for his first GPS competition Rostelecom Cup ( Russia ) for this season. His agent Tara and Johnny were enjoying doing fashion show with his furs in his apartment.  They look super close friends seeing the scene where both of them lying down. Lol Johnny also looked comfortable to be with her. We found Tara is very hilarious and a happy person, my husband Ray thought Tara is also his big fan and loves him very much even though she is his agent.  I like Tara’s fashion taste. She’s pretty, but I think If she loses about 20lb she would be even more pretty and makes her look better with her fashion.  It was also funny that Johnny didn’t tell Galina about the ice show “stars , Stripes and skates “ which was held in Danbury, CT before going to Rostelecom Cup , and about he is going to show ...

Johnny Weir’s popularity

Probably, Johnny Weir is the most popular figure skater worldwide.  Besides his beautiful flawless clean performances at this Olympics, I’m so amazed by how many number of people are attracted by Johnny Weir’s skating every Olympics. So many new fans are just coming, coming, coming. Especially without having a big title such as Olympics gold medal, World title , Grand Prix title which many people seems to care about the most, who else is attracting so many people all over the world ? I have noticed that he attracts new fans every time he performs. Worldwide popularity Mainly, people care only for their own country’s skaters more than other country’s skaters, especially in Olympics. In the USA, Michelle Kwan and Sasha Cohen ( in majority of people ), In Korea, Yu na Kim, In Japan, Mao Asada ( and also Miki Ando , Daisuke Takahashi ), In France, Brian Joubert, In Russia, Alexey Yagudin , Evgeny Plushenko , Irina Slutsukaya, etc…  Stephane Lambiel is al...

My review - Be Good Johnny Weir Episode #4

The show started from the story about Johnny’s friend Paris moved out from the place where they used to live. I remember that it was the end of April to the beginning of May, when he just came back from the Korean ice show, and canceled his plan for his Russian trip and Russian fan meeting. We were hearing the reason was he had an apartment problem. And not so long after that, heard Paris moved out to NY. Looked like Paris moved out at a not so good time without telling Johnny about it in advance. So Johnny, his mother Patti , and his father John looked panic to help him to move out. The apartment looked expensive to live alone , so Johnny also had to move out, I also wonder about the lease renewal time. Unlike Japan, American apartment for rent is a lease system and they can not break the lease until expired. Normally 1 year, 6 month, 3 month lease.  If they broke the lease, they need to pay two month rent extra fees for the penalty when they move out if it’s not been ...
