It was so much fun to watch both men & women’s 400M X 4 relay !
After the disappointment from Jeremy’s loss in individual 400M competition, We were waiting for him coming in relay.
I don’t know why, but Jeremy’s running is attractive and make me feel power and energy. He also looks cool. I love his sunglasses and shoes that are matching with US uniform.
He is very unique for me, almost like an alien.
His body shape is beautiful , not too macho, and his shoulder is small compared with other runners. Many people say he is too skinny as a short distance runner. But I don’t think so.
Until I found him, I’ve never recorded all the track & field , just enjoy the moment.
Men’s 400m X 4 Final
I was glad to see that Jeremy was the anchor of US team !
I thought they might put Lashawn Merritt as an anchor since he won in this Olympics, and opening for Jeremy.
In the opening , it looked like Merritt led a little and Jamaica was close to him, didn’t look big lead, then Taylor kept the top.
I thought last two, David and Jeremy made a big lead.
US commentator was very excited in the last minutes and was saying,
“Jeremy Wariner, Jeremy Wariner is galloping to the finish !!!!”
It was hilarious , from the moment he was handed the baton Jeremy was just gone, he just blew away the field, faster and faster till the end and made a huge lead !
Other runners could not catch up to him, but fell back more and more far.
He did really excellent anchor in it.
I really love his running style.
After, I did notice that LaShawn Merrit didn’t look at Jeremy’s face even though they hug each other.
David Neville and Angelo Taylor looked happy people, and great cushion between those two who are heat up inside. Especially for David, it must be a great experience for him, getting two medals ( one for bronze, one for gold )
in this Olympics.
Surprising thing was Jamaica was placed in the bottom... Even though they were in the second at the beginning, what happened ?
My favorites seem to always be the type of people who are loved or are hated, and not the type of people who are just liked by everyone.
I guess people who are unique and original attract that kind of reaction .
Jeremy Wariner and LaShawn Merritt will have another competition in Switzerland next Friday. It will be interesting and heat up again ! Must watch it.
Hope Jeremy will be in his best form and will win there.
Women’s 400m X 4 Final Relay
1. USA
2. Russia
3. Jamaica
4. Belarus
5. Great Britain
6. Cuba
7. Nigeria
8. Germany
This relay was also exciting, especially when anchor Sanya beat Russian anchor Kapachinskaya in last stretch.
US was not in top in the opening and then second runner Allyson beat everyone and in the top, and then Monique was beaten by a Russian runner.
Sanya was very strong and fast !
After the disappointment from finishing third in her individual 400 M competition, and this must be a great memory for her in this Olympics.
