Tucson gem & Mineral show had been opening from February 14 to 17 and we went to see it on February 17.
I was curious for the show and wanted to look around all the gemstones from all over the world.
It's said that Every year for about 2.5 weeks in January and February — the rock, gem, mineral and jewelry worlds cosmically align in Tucson.
Because it's a gem & Mineral show, so I was hoping someone from Tibet to be selling Dzi beads there also. We are into Dzi beads since a few months ago after reading about the history of Dzi beads and the power of it.
Also curious about the Mysterious stone Moldavite. It's said that this stone enhances our psychic power and it can develop new psychic abilities. This is a great way to develop our intuition.
However we could not find them in the show.
It was held in 22nd street, next to the highway 10.
It looks like they temporarily made the store place for the show so the parking lot was not good and not convenient to getting in and out.
It was a big show so it was really interesting to look around all the stores from all over the world.
From Africa to Asia to South America, etc...
It' said that
" researchers, gemologists, authors, artists, miners and nearly 4,000 trade companies gather there from every continent to share their treasures, knowledge and expertise with the show’s tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of attendees.
Earth’s gem and mineral riches are on display at over 40 venues unfurled all over town, for sale in huge circus tents, expo halls, hotels, warehouses, and in the city’s fine Convention Center.
Every type of polished and rough rock and fossil specimen and every kind of faceted jewel that you can imagine is being peddled everywhere — on blankets on sidewalks or in sophisticated exhibits brought in by the world’s finest museums and collectors.
All of the shows are free except the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show® held at the Convention Center. Indeed, Tucson hosts the Giant of all Gem Shows, the largest of its kind in the universe. "
The Huge amethyst cluster was amazing.
I really like this big crystal quartz.
So beautiful.
