What will happen next season ? ( Men’s Figure skating )

Recently, so many new info about Johnny or something related to him is just coming constantly.  And I was shocked to hear that one of Johnny’s competitor Stephane Lambiel ( from Switzerland ) who was a two time world champion is going to work with Johnny’s coaches Galina and Victor Petrenko this season. He will move to ( or has already moved ) NJ, U.S.A from his hometown Switzerland. As a Johnny fan, this news didn’t make me happy. Lambiel has been struggling with his jumps especially for 3A and quad combo past years, and I heard some people started talking Lambiel is going to retire and will not be in next Olympics.  He must be hard and really wanted to fix his jump technique for Olympics. Johnny's beauty But … thinking from Johnny’s side, One of the reason Johnny decided to work with Galina team was they can always check and see his skating.  And after his successful last season, Galina/Petrenko received application from the top skater…  I was upset to hear about t

Ballet dancers

Besides figure skating, I also love to watch ballet. However, I’ve never had special favorite ballet dancer in the past. I just love to watch beautiful elegant movements of Russian ladies ballet dancers and also was interested in the story. My favorite theme was always “ Giselle “ and “ Nut cracker”. Recently, I found an amazing men’s ballet dancer called “ Daniil Simkin “ who is from Austria. I found him in Johnny ( Weir )’s Myspace a several month ago but at that time my mind was full of about skating COP, so I didn’t pay attention for his performances. And after the skating COP season (2007-2008 ) was over , one day there was an American men’s ballet dancer documentary on TV, and by chance, my husband and I both saw it. We both were not so inspired with the performances the TV program showed, because it looked like sports, acrobat or Chinese Kung fu , instead of classic ballet. More technically performance than artistry. It’s too masculine for me... I wonder is it because of c

Shopping is fun !

Ray and I went shopping today.  In our place, there are not much choice for shopping as there is in Tokyo, Japan , and so we always use the biggest shopping mall around our place. It’s always fun to shop, buying some clothes. And after that we ate out and also drank frozen cappuccinos.  I bought a pair of black sandals and some clothes , and Ray bought a cool T-shirts. Last time , he bought a pair of black shoes that look like peter pan shoes, very unique. So this time, main shopping was for my clothes. While I was in the dressing room at a store, I did notice my extra luggage around my waist.  I gained… I used to have slim body, although my weight was always up and down. Seriously, I decided to lose some weight and get shape after facing the fact. My work is a desk work , and I don’t walk much since I came to the U.S.A. and started working at home. When I was in Japan, I was using so much energy and was always moving, and the transportation in Tokyo was trains, bicycle, wa

Figure Skating season is over, now what ?

Skating Competition's off season is the time for me to improve whatever other knowledge I would like to learn.  Actually since I got into watching Figure skating ( Johnny Weir ), I didn’t spend much time for something knowledgeable for myself. Well, Johnny’s attraction power is like a magic, like a very powerful magnet. But at least I learned the judging rules of skating, researching skaters etc… I feel happy whenever I get new knowledge which is in a subject I love. Through my work, I have a lot of things I need to learn until everything will go smoothly. I have my personal goal in my life. And I’m still on the way to get there. I will need to 100% focus on it to quickly get there. However, Olympics will be coming this summer…. I love to watch Gymnastic especially women’s and also short and long distance running. In last Olympics, I enjoyed watching some Romanian gymnasts ( for women ) , also Carly Patterson in the U.S.A. But seems like they are not competing anymore.I’ve Ju

My review - FS World Championships 2008 - Men

It’s always very excited to see World Championships after US Nationals. Especially for men’s event is always my favorite event. It was really unexpected result ! My prediction for it was 1. Daisuke 2. Lambiel or Verner or Johnny 3. Lambiel or Verner or Johnny And the result was 1. Jeffrey Buttle 2. Brian Joubert 3. Johnny Weir 4. Daisuke Takahashi 5. Stephane Lambiel 6. Kevin VAN DER PERREN 7. Sergei VORONOV 8. Takahiko KOZUKA 9. Patrick Chan 10. Stephen CARRIERE 11. Jeremy Abbot No one was predicting Jeffrey to be the winner, also Joubert had been suffering from his illness and his result for this season was not really going well, so I didn’t predict him to be on a podium. I was soooo happy when I knew Johnny will be on the podium ! I was really hoping for it. It's always wonderful to see Johnny's pure happy smiling face ! I’ve heard that the ice condition there was very bad and Lambiel was complaining about it. I suppose he is a very feeling person and sens

US Nationals 2008, Men’s FS Championships

This year’s main event was rivalry of Johnny Weir Vs Evan Lysacek same as last year. Seems like this men’s event received high ratings. Media was selling those two rivalry and sounded like it went well. I was happy because they showed Johnny ’s fluff piece a lot. He is so hilarious, as usual. My prediction was Johnny or Evan get gold and silver and bronze goes to Stephen Carriere. It was usually decided from skater’s international ranking through past result of GPS and last worlds according to my analysis unless skaters totally meltdown in it. And as a result, Evan and Johnny were tied up , and Stephen Carriere received bronze as I predicted. Who was the best in this event in my eyes ? Johnny !  No doubt !  Both SP and LP . He was amazing ! Ha, when I saw this result, it reminds me of the movie “ blades of glory “. LOL, How could it happen by accident ?? Tied up ! It’s so funny. Technically, Johnny did 4T although two footed ( Lysacek also two

NHK Trophy review

Ray and I were watching NHK Trophy on ESPN broadcast yesterday. Although we already knew the result. It was interesting that they showed Daisuke and Miki and also Shizuka Arakawa ’s small fluff pieces. Daisuke was saying something like that “ people says my footwork is cool. But I learned it by watching and moves. I think it’s cool .” Ha ha , yes, his footwork is cool, but all his movements are cool, too. Miki was saying something like that  “ I became world Champion last season, but I changed nothing but people changed. I can not even go out without sunglasses. I’m just Miki Ando. I love my life. “ It was cute. Miki and Mao sounds very popular like idol singers or actresses in Japan, so those two may need guards whenever they go out. And I can understand why they are so popular over there. I think both of them are attractive. I also think Yu na Kim has charisma. This season, ESPN was also showing some other foreign skaters such as Fumie Suguri, Brian Joubert, Stephane Lambiel and K
