Johnny Weir is everywhere now since around January 6 for the promotion of his book “ Welcome to my world “ and also his song “ Dirty love “.

He and his team ( his manager Tara Modlin & his hair dresser Eric ) started touring book stores since January 11. And he will tour PA, MA, CT, NY, MI, IL, OH, WI, CA.

No Arizona, of course and no expectation for that so no surprise.

He is a star & famous.

Also he was doing many interviews and also will be in another show at Joy Baher show and George Lopez.

I watched his interviews at Today show’s interview, and at Wendy’s show, and read one or two articles for People’s Magazine, and also listened to his interview with Howard Stern online.

I pre-ordered his book “ Welcome to my world “ in December with autographed version. And they shipped it on Jan 13.

The book was released on January 11 but there was a delay due to the bad weather condition. Hope it will be here very soon.
And I will review his book.

In the interviews, since he mentioned his sexual orientation in his book, I feel he talks about himself more relaxed.

He was never in, but many gay websites started writing Johnny weir finally comes out about his sexuality.

Personally, I have imagined he is a free spirit who doesn’t want to belong with any of the sexual orientations and doesn’t want to be labeled as gay or bi or straight.

He announced his sexuality as gay, but he may marry with a woman without sex. He said it’s best to marry with a best friend.

His interview with Howard Stern seemed to cover pretty much everything, telling almost everything about his private life.

His hope sounded like he wants to get married with his best friend whether male or female.

If he gets married with a woman both of them would find their romantic partner.

I don’t know for others, but overall I felt the interview was hilarious.

And my impression of him through the interview is a rather dry and practical person, which is completely different from his skating performances.
Really a cat personality.

It’s been my impression that many people who have strong ambition for their career, whether it be in mainstream type careers or entertainment or sports type careers like figure skating or in music, have that type of personality.

Maybe that‘s why they can focus for their career mainly but are cool or dry to their relationships.

What they care the most is their success of career and it’s their happiness.

But when he skates, it’s the opposite.
Very emotional, imaginative and deep with no calculation.

He was saying during the interview with Mr. Itoi, that on ice, when he’s on, he skates from his soul, and off ice he acts with his heart.
Soul and heart are two different things for him.

When I first saw Johnny in Torino Olympics 2006, in the Otonal program, ( on TV) I felt it was like beautiful art, coming from beautiful fairly tale story. And in his other program “ My way” ( which is EX number ), he looked like a gentleman who is elegant, completely different from Otonal’s .

I didn’t feel and imagine his sexuality, whether gay or bi or straight, unlike many people who felt he looks gay. Especially his swan performance. Johnny’s performance in the Swan, it’s just a really beautiful art. Hard to understand why it made them imagine sexuality.

Honestly, if we talk about sexuality in men’s figure skaters, when I first watched men’s figure skating in Torino Olympics, I imagined Stephane Lambiel and Emanuel Sandhu looked like gay people I know.

My husband felt Evan Lysacek was too, the way he talked in the interviews in those days sounded very feminine so he said he appears to be gay and that he spoke really similar to people who are gay.

But later Lysacek changed the way of talking, made it sound like more masculine by toning down. The change was so sudden that I felt it was something unnatural talking at that time.

Not a big deal, but everyone always makes it seem as if Johnny weir is the most gay in figure skating. And somehow I didn’t feel that way.

I just appreciate his beautiful looks as well as his beautiful skating. his face looks like naturally beautifully feminine.

My first impression of Johnny off ice in interviews , I thought he was a funny & witty American young guy who loves Russia and Christina Aguillera, who love to be unique.

Then it went to something mysterious seeing many of his activities.
And now, I felt it came back to my first impression. The difference is he started talking about his sexual orientation in public.

When he wear heavy make-up with well-set hair-do, it looks similar to Adam Lambert. And I don’t feel it’s natural to me.
Is that trend in gay world ?

Johnny often changes his looks, almost every day. And I don’t always love all his looks for example wearing madame look luxury brand outfits with heavy make-up with thick eyeliner off ice.

but I think he loves to be many kind of character using fashion, hair-do and make up or non make-up. Whether on ice or off ice.

And I’m also influenced by him about it.

It would be fun to change my look every day, wearing wig, with different make-up, with different type of fashions every day.

When Johnny with thick eyeliner with well-set hair-do ( short hair do with no bang), this reminds me of Japanese musical organization called “ Takarazuka” ‘s which are all women acting as all the characters, both men and women characters.

And that Johnny reminds me of Takarazuka woman acting as man.
In Takarazuka , they wear heavy make-up with thick eyeliner.

And Johnny looks like one of the Takarazuka musical stars who acts as a man’s character with short hair. Really similar. And I’m not a fan of these looks.

I love ladies, feminine, unique and natural ( with or without make-up).
My husband Ray and I often talk about ladies. I don’t imagine any men when it comes to beauty and art, except Johnny Weir.

During 2004 - 2006 season, Johnny looked like he came from another planet.

In Hollywood celebrities, I loved Gwyneth Paltrow’s fashion. But my favorite lady is still Sayoko Yamaguchi who was the world top Paris collection model, very unique. Her make-up was cool.

Anyways, Johnny looks & sound happy, then, that’s the best always.

His song “ Dirty Love “ got #1 in Amazon Japan ’s iTune hit chart , and this was amazing.

I love the song " Dirty Love".

It has many parts to it, not only the same beat disco music.
So I got addiction for it.

His book “ Welcome to my world “ also got #1, figure skating category, #3 biography section, and #354(?) in the main page in the first day ( January 10 )

I think it’s quite success.
Amazing !

I’m very inspired with what he has been doing and his talent.

Many Japanese Johnny fans I know say they love him with non-make-up ,with training wear the most. They are very patient and quietly wait natural Johnny’s appearance.

His song " Dirty Love" hits #1 in Japan !

I also felt the amount of his Japanese fans who spend money & time for him is incredible.

There are fans who dream Johnny as their prince, and even after he mentioned his sexuality, some fans say they don't care he is still their forever prince!

So it's also not really a big deal for them as well.

I love his "Bad Romance" and his “be good Johnny weir “ ’s promotion style, I love his art.

I don’t think Johnny likes the macho straight guy image much, and I don’t either.

But he also may not like to look like a fashionable straight guy or a fashionable and feminine straight guy.

He may more want to look like a fashionable and feminine gay guy. And that’s the image he seems to be loving now.

Johnny wanted to be Julia Roberts in the movie Pretty Woman when he was 6 years old was interesting. He was watching the movie when he was 6 ??

I loooooved Julia in the pretty woman and watched the movie so many times. I became a fan of both Julia and Richarge Gere in the movie. I really love the story and her acting.

I also loved Julia Robert’s another movie “ My best friend “.
And thought it would be nice to have a close friend who is gay like in the movie.

Johnny said his type of guy in celebrity is Justin Timberlake. I thought Orlando Bloom is his type.

Anyway, his book is on the way to my place now, and I will review his book as soon as I read it.

Sweet Food which does not get fat - Warabi mochi

I recently love eating this sweet food that Japanese call " Warabi mochi " which is made of 0 calories food psyllium in my coffee break time. It's sweet food but I use Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener instead of sugar when I make it. Lakanto Monk Fruit sweetener is 0 calorie s and 0 glycemic and very similar taste as normal sugar. It is said it's derived from monk fruit, which looks like a small green gourd native to regions of China and Thailand. It's not artificial so it is not bad for health so I feel comfortable eating it. Warabi mochi is a food which is normally made of Kinako ( soybean flour) & sugar & warabi powder and it's one of my favorite foods. However it's high calorie foods so if I eat a lot, it's easy to gain weight. Because Warabi mochi flour is Starch and has sugar in it and is high calorie.
